I eat chocolate every night, it’s all I’ve ever known

ive had chocolate every night after dinner since I can remember, my parents always gave me a choc bar each night. I still do this now in my 30s and can’t have an evening without. Anyone else do this in their household?

My mom does. She’s 63 and has had a treat, as she calls it, every day since she was a little girl.

Within 10 mins of finishing her dinner, she’s eating a chocolate bar.

Notimeforaname · 14/06/2023 20:58

Just had a kinder bueno with my tea.
Same as you, always had a chocolate bar in the evenings or biscuits if we had no bars.

Cupcakegirl13 · 14/06/2023 20:59

It’s a sad night in my house when there isn’t a little treat with a cuppa.

Pooterlie · 14/06/2023 21:00

I do this. Was never allowed chocolate or sweets as a child. My mum used to secretly eat chocolate in the evening and now I do the same.

10HailMarys · 14/06/2023 21:00

No. I don’t think many people routinely have a bar of chocolate every night.

But why does it matter what other people do? If you want to have a bar of chocolate every night, have one every night. You’re a grown-up; you can do what you like.

tillyandmilly · 14/06/2023 21:01

Don’t beat yourself up life is too short just to sit on the settee and eat an apple!

3luckystars · 14/06/2023 21:01

I definitely have chocolate every day but not at a set time. Any time is good for chocolate.

Lacucuracha · 14/06/2023 21:02

No more chocolate for me, just one sniff piles on the pounds.

Lcb123 · 14/06/2023 21:02

We have a couple of squares of choc after dinner. I wouldn’t have a whole bar.

HaggisFace · 14/06/2023 21:02

I don't but I do have crisps.

LadyKenya · 14/06/2023 21:03

No, I never eat chocolate in the evening. I sometimes have a scone though.

Guiltridden12345 · 14/06/2023 21:04

I ate chocolate every single day of my life until I got covid in 2020 and now I don't like it 😢 😢 😢

Peterpiperpickedapeckof · 14/06/2023 21:08

Sounds lovely!!

BHRK · 14/06/2023 21:09

Chocolate every day here but I like mine with a morning coffee!

NuffSaidSam · 14/06/2023 21:10

We used to always have a little chocolate bar (penguin/KitKat/ etc) after dinner as kids. I don't do it anymore, chocolate time is any time now.

Littleguggi · 14/06/2023 21:11

I do, not necessarily a chocolate bar but something sweet ie ice cream, biscuit, few squares of chocolate. This only became a habit for me after I left home in my 20's, mid 30's now!

barbarahunter · 14/06/2023 21:11

I eat chocolate every day but I try to not have the whole bar at once. As a kid, I was also given chocolate every day by my mother.

LegendsBeyond · 14/06/2023 21:12

Yes every evening & I’m a healthy weight.

HoleyShit · 14/06/2023 21:12

I would definitely eat a chocolate bar every night if I could. But I'd gain weight so I can't - sadly!!

AnyFucker · 14/06/2023 21:12

Yep. Every night without fail even if I have been out. Where is the harm ?

Yep, same here. So what?

IrisGold · 14/06/2023 21:14

Yes, almost every night. Occasionally I'll have cake instead if I've baked.

Fivebyfive2 · 14/06/2023 21:14

Yep! I have a bar every night about 9pm and have done since I was a kid. I don't drink or smoke, I'm a healthy weight etc. Night time chocolate is my one little daily "treat" and I don't plan to stop any day soon. I'm 35 🤣

RequiresUpdating · 14/06/2023 21:15

Yes, I was brought up like this and it's still the same when we go back and visit my parents. It's taken me a good couple of years to stop. DH can't believe the diet I was brought up on!
