To be in tears over my nose?

I never let anyone take photos of me as I am a very ugly woman. But the thing that bothers me most is my nose. It is very long and pointy. DH took a photo of one of the kids the other day and my side profile is in it and my nose just looked horrific.
Perhaps foolishly, I googled ways to minimise it naturally like with make up etc but came across an article about a man with the world's longest nose. His was 8CM. Or just over. Measured mine just now from top to the bottom and it's just over 7CM. Which now makes me feel even worse. DH started shouting at me saying it's getting like an obsession but I just hate how freak like it makes me look. Everyone else looks beautiful or at least normal. I hate the fact that unless I have a nose job (which I can't afford ) then I am stuck looking like this.

Me too. Women with strong noses often have an elegant patrician look- Diana Spencer for example.

I can't exaggerate numbers sadly.
I just measured from the top of my nose to the tip, that's 6.5cm. Then right down to the base so below my lip, 8cm.
I'm afraid I won't post a photo as I know it looks awful and people's comments will only make me feel even worse.

You must be attractive to some extent because you're married etc. Maybe u look nice as a package?
Also I saw something about some non invasive nose surgery which is very minor but can have a big impact. it was on a documentary with chelsea Healey called the truth about.....beauty etc.

No, what needs sorting is how you value yourself and how tied up that is to your looks.

Not being perfect is OK, being ugly is OK, aging is OK. What's not OK, is people feeling like they're worthless because their nose is large, their eyes are 'too' far apart, they have thin lips etc. This obsession with how people look is unhealthy and dangerous.

I've worked in Harley Street believe me, when people get rhinoplasty, it's absolutely life changing for them. Get a loan, don't look back, do it.

There is always, on any thread where a poster has made herself vulnerable or shared an insecurity, a small contingent of sad, twisted fucks who get a kick out of putting the boot in, OP. Those responses had NOTHING to do with your nose.

Yes that’s why I was asking clarification on how she is measuring, if it’s down the slope then it sounds a totally normal size!

OP don’t be so hard on yourself, I’m sure you are beautiful and I’m almost positive no one will think twice of your nose when they look at you. We are our own harshest critics, what seems like something awful to you will be something other people won’t even think twice about

I just measured my very average nose out of interest and it is 6.5 to the tip and 7.5 to underneath so maybe your nose is not really so very big.
My best friend had a bump on her nose she was self conscious about but when she told me, it was something I had not even noticed.
The media and the Internet put a lot of pressure on us to look certain ways but really beauty is in the eye of the beholder and people are attractive in many different ways.

I think they are advising to get a loan because you are stressed unhappy and in tears about it not necessarily because they think you need to OP.

Please don't ever say this about yourself ever again. It's simply not fucking true, and I don't have to even see you to know this. Ugliness has not one thing to do with our outward appearance.

Listen OP I have a big Roman nose and got teased about it a lot. I'm glad I never had the money to give myself rhinoplasty to get a fake little nose. Sometimes I'll get a photo at a certain angle and I'll think "Yikes" but mostly I'm cute as hell.

I don't mean to be dismissive of how you're feeling, but to hell with eugenic misogynistic beauty standards. I bet your nose makes you look striking.

I think nose size (and the size of other features) should be considered in relation to the whole face. If you have a broader, larger head and face you will surely have a larger nose so
measurements in isolation don’t tell us much. Does that make any sense, OP?
Also, I’m sure people worth bothering about are noticing your personality and character much more than your nose.

I'm so confused. The man with the world's longest ever nose had a nose of 19cm.

I saw pictures of another man and he looked like a perfectly normal not bad looking dude?

What is it about the length that would automatically correlate with it's unattractiveness?

I googled woman with Roman Nose and there are loads of absolute stunners out there.

You do not need plastic surgery.

Even if you were ugly, you would be worthy of love and affection and living life.

When I measure the full length it's 6CM and a half. If I measure all the way down to the base so just under my lip, it's over 7-8 CM. Obviously it needs to be sorted. I feel disgusting .

I’m so sorry you feel this way :( the most beautiful people have features that stand out, that are different. What would you feel about someone else who has your nose? Would you really feel that way about them? Be so much kinder to yourself. It’s a body part! Have people teased you?
