The daily fail have really gone after Thomas Cashman's partner in the paper today, painting her as a gangsters moll.

Do you think she really knew what he was up to? What's the feeling in Liverpool towards her?

AIBU to feel sorry for his kids and wonder what kind of life they will have now? his son and daughter are also victims in this horrible tragedy now. It's so sad.

Of course she knew

Sarahconnor1 · 01/04/2023 08:34

Of course she knew, they all knew.

Aylestone · 01/04/2023 08:34

Of course she did 🙄

Glittertwins · 01/04/2023 08:36

I can't see how she could not know. How can anyone have that amount of cash with no formal education or training since the age of 14 and no apparent fixed (legal?) employment?

eish · 01/04/2023 08:38

Of course she knew and enjoyed all the benefits of his I’ll gotten gains. He didn’t have a job yet had an ‘income’ that meant they rented a 4 bedroom house, expensive cars, holidays etc.

Godzillaisjusthangry · 01/04/2023 08:40

That's what I was thinking, there's no way she couldn't know. I was trying to be charitable and think well maybe because they got together so young the drug dealing was normalised from an early age, but do you think she knew about the violence as well?

I'm trying to wrap my head around thinking that was a sustainable lifestyle to bring kids into! I mean surely you'd be thinking this is a shit storm I can't bring kids into?

Of course she knew. She’s almost as bad as him, the scummy piece of 💩

youspinmerightround22 · 01/04/2023 08:44

She knew. She had a beauty salon not far from where I live that he laundered his money through.

Augustone · 01/04/2023 08:45

One definition of gangsters moll:

molls
A woman who's the companion or conspirator to a gangster can be called a moll. One of the most famous molls was Bonnie Parker, of the criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde.

Godzillaisjusthangry · 01/04/2023 08:45

So do you think the police will go after her? Will the kids end up in care?

Dregs of society

I raise this issue each time people boast on here about drug use, they always justify it as 'I get mine from a bloke down the road who only grows for him', its all rubbish and each step of the rung is involved in various drugs, both legal and illegal used for recreation purposes, exploitation of children, prostitution, violence, death.

Personally I think it should be legalised but while its not, each interaction with dealers/sellers/growers is all part of the problem

BlusteryLake · 01/04/2023 08:46

The Liverpool drugs "industry" perpetuates because the drug dealers' partners protect them, others are scared of speaking out, and the children are drawn into it to carry it on. So in a way, maybe his imprisonment might save the children from this life. But who knows? The whole cycle is depressing.

No they won't bother
Same way they didn't bother to address this obvious dealer after all these years. They don't do enough.

ArmchairAnarchist2 · 01/04/2023 08:50

If your partner has no discernible source of income and you're not living on benefits, even if you don't know the exact details, you know it's not legal. She knew...

maranella · 01/04/2023 08:50

Of course she knew! You aren't in a relationship with a person like that and completely ignorant about what they're up to. Where the hell did she think his money was coming from otherwise? The guy posed with a £40,000 watch on his wrist FGS! She knew damn well she was with a gangster and a drug dealer.

ohfook · 01/04/2023 08:52

Whenever a man does something shit they always go after a woman too. It implies it was her job to keep him in check and I've got not time for it.

Tallulasdancingshoes · 01/04/2023 08:52

Of course she knew. Everyone in his circle knew - it’s the life they lead. His kids never stood a chance. They’re surrounded by the whole scene all the time. Sadly, it’ll just be normal to them and the cycle continues.

She was happy to live off the proceeds of his crimes and supported him after shooting a little girl dead.

She lived off the proceeds of his crimes for years she knew what he was and didn't care. She isn't responsible for the death of Olivia, but let's not pretend she isn't a cog in this wheel.

No it doesn't imply that.

Frankly, while it's not women's job to keep these guys in check, they are bad people for being with them. And standing by them.

It's not an issue of "keeping him in check", it's the issue of supporting him. It's very sime. Don't be with scum

Emigratingimmigrant · 01/04/2023 08:56

I have less time for anyone, male or female, supporting such vile crime. But hey, you crack on with your feminism Confused

Absolute rubbish

People, people (not male or female) are responsible for their behaviour and the world and associates they mix with and what sort of world that results in for other people. We are all members of a society together. If you want to live and mix with anti social, criminal, violent people who kill, maim and destroy lives then you're just as culpable.

There are thousands of people up and down the country turning a blind eye to family members and friends behaviour.

Xrays · 01/04/2023 09:00

I hope they take the house away from them, proceeds of crime and all that - apparently their house is worth half a million.
