This man (in red) has undergone no attempt to transition. Yet he's playing on women's GAA football teams in Ireland because he feels he's a woman.
Imagine him tackling a poor woman would have no chance. Prior to that he played women's rugby.
Why is this happening in women's sports, prisons, changing rooms, toilets.
Why are trans women's rights more important than ours.
This man (who is in no way a woman or even a trans woman) needs to play with a team where the rest of the players have penises too or else start his own trans league. Get out of women's sports & spaces.

I used to be one of the ‘be kind’ group. But my eyes were opened and now I’m raging.

There are quite a few TRAs on Twitter wanting to doxx and kill feminists. It’s shocking and makes women scared to speak out (I would never air my views on Twitter out of fear).

Keep penised people out of women’s sport.

Some of the trans groups are scarily radical.
I'm shocked but very grateful to mumsnet for leaving this post up. We women can not be silenced & our prospective cannot be deleted any longer.

I play a team contact sport and I am not even permitted to question the inclusion of transwomen and whether it is fair or safe. I've been kicked out of a competition for raising concerns and branded a bigot. The feelings of the transwoman were considered more important than the physical safety of my team. The sports governing body has issued guidance saying some women (i.e. male-born women) and just better than other women and we have to accept it and welcome them in.

Mommymoments · 24/03/2023 21:35

@Truthlikeness i would well believe it. Disgusting. The womenphobia & woman hater cards need to be flung right back at them. Sick of their shit.

This makes me so, so angry.

But. I am convinced the house of cards is falling as women begin to speak up.

Posie is speaking in my city tomorrow. I am scared to go along. But DH thinks we should.

Mommymoments · 24/03/2023 22:56

@TiedUpWithABlackVelvetBand the tide is definitely turning. Even the fact that mumsnet hasn't deleted the numerous threads this week speaks volumes!

Wellington?

You should see what has just happened in Auckland, it's fucking terrifying.
The police abandoned her until they were called to escort her out. Women have been assaulted by violent thugs for wanting to speak. I don't know if she will safe to go to Wellington.

Can you stand close by and assess the crowd and monitor the messages? I watched Auckland feed and it was horrific.

My husband encouraged me to go to London. (maybe for same reason as your’s had encouraged you.) We had a manageable crowds of intimidating protestors but we had plenty of police. And the protestors, though very loud, obnoxious etc the police line stood against them.

if the crowd behaves any thing like today, I could well understand the wariness. If it is even on.

so much effort to silence women rather than making sure women are safe.

I think she should come home. Fuck them. Leave them to their madness. Things seem to be chsnging over here, they seem to be about 10 years behind.

ChateauMargaux · 25/03/2023 07:02

@Truthlikeness ... are you in the UK? The Equality in Sport body issued a statement in 2021 saying that fairness in sport is not compatible with the inckusion of males in the female category, that it is lawful to segregate by sex.

You can find the principles on here. https://equalityinsport.org/about-sports-council-equality-group/index.html.

Your sporting organisation should be following these principles and should revisit it's guidelines. I am sorry you have been kicked out of a competition for questioning this but thank you, on behalf of all females. I hope there are enough peoplle who speak up and make them see that they are wrong.

Would you like to share what sport it is? Maybe others can write to them...

Truthlikeness · 25/03/2023 08:17

I am in the UK and quoted a whole bunch of research, the Equality Act, the Sports Council's recommendations on transgender inclusion (2021) and other data/info/personal experience etc in the letter which led to us being kicked out.

The league is unaffiliated with the national governing body (and consequently can do what it likes) but the governing body also allows the inclusion of transwomen under fairly lenient criteria (i.e. sometimes asks for lowered testosterone, but not always, and that would be impossible to police at grassroots level anyway as there is no testing infrastructure).

It's football. I understand the FA is reviewing its rules, but it has been for some time now. I suspect they're waiting to see which way the wind blows.

ChateauMargaux · 25/03/2023 08:57

Thanks @Truthlikeness for speaking out. I am sorry you were kicked out.

I hope these changes are rolled back.

Mommymoments · 25/03/2023 09:10
