My DH doesn’t have the legs, but at least this guy is not wearing lipstick and a wig, and dresses his top half like man. His wife helps him choose the clothes.

I can't get over how good his legs look!

drpet49 · 10/03/2023 11:52

No I wouldn’t like it

LivingDeadGirlUK · 10/03/2023 11:52

His legs look great but his look would be called 'dated' on the mumsnet S&B boards :P

murasaki · 10/03/2023 11:53

He is rocking those clothes. Abd not pretending to be anything he isn't, fine with me.

I enjoyed it a few years ago when a bunch of builders were told they couldn't wear shorts on site in hot weather , so turned up in skirts. All clothing for all works for me.

MeMyCatsAndMyBooks · 10/03/2023 11:54

No i wouldn't like it if it was my DH. Doesn't bother me if others do it but not something I find attractive.

theescapeladder · 10/03/2023 11:56

He looks great!
As long he doesn't start claiming that high heels and a skirt make him a Woman+ 🤭

Feminine clothing can look great on men just as masculine clothing can be worn by women and there's nothing wrong with that.

Purplecatshopaholic · 10/03/2023 11:57

My partner hasn’t got the legs for it, lol - this guy looks fine to me

musingsinmidlife · 10/03/2023 11:57

I am fine with it. People should wear what they want. Personally, to me these aren't really women's clothes in that I never have worn heels or short skirts. I wear pant suits to work or dress pants and a top. So I don't have a fixed view of men vs women's clothes. Wear clothes that fit and that you like and life goes on.

murasaki · 10/03/2023 11:57

Dp has skinny legs so he'd just look silly, but this guy seems happy and looks smart. Not denying that I'd double take on first glance, but horses for courses.

MoneyInTheBananaStand · 10/03/2023 11:58

I think he looks great.

I love the tie & blazer top half and skirt and heels bottom half - fair play!

DdraigGoch · 10/03/2023 11:58

I can't see why anyone would wear heels like that to be honest, looks painful.

VapeVamp12 · 10/03/2023 11:58

His legs!!! Wow

Bekindbekind · 10/03/2023 11:58

He looks great! Good luck to him.

SoupDragon · 10/03/2023 11:59

"I see clothes as genderless"

I think he is right here. They should be. if it is perfectly acceptable for women to wear trousers, why shouldn't men wear skirts?

plus he has fabulous legs 😂

ShakespearesBlister · 10/03/2023 12:00

Jesus Christ.

VariationsonaTheme · 10/03/2023 12:00

Good on him for wearing what he wants. However my DH would never be able to walk in those heels.

museumum · 10/03/2023 12:00

The shoes bother me far far more than the skirt. I think the shoes are OTT even for a woman at that height for everyday / daytime wear. In the picture in the garage with low/flat boots it's all far less disturbing.
I'm Scottish and well accustomed to men in kilts so maybe that's why the skirt doesn't jarr with me as much as the shoes (also i don't wear heels myself).

Goldenbear · 10/03/2023 12:01

I don't like very high heels on anyone, I find them to be intimidating but yes, he looks like a man with a skirt on. I suppose like a woman with a skirt on, it doesn't have an impact on me, it's personal preference.

usernother · 10/03/2023 12:02

He does look good but if my husband started wearing skirts and heels it would be the end of our marriage.

Badbudgeter · 10/03/2023 12:03

I think he's got fantastic legs but those shoes must be painful. I'd not be keen dating a bloke in heels. I think it's one of those each to their own situations.

Greensleevevssnotnose · 10/03/2023 12:03

He looks amazing. I would probably find it a bit weird at first. Same as when women dress very masculine but I wouldn't judge and would get used to it quickly. No more difficult than going from long hair to short hair for me.

TheFairyCaravan · 10/03/2023 12:04

No I wouldn’t like it at all. If he insisted on it then we’d have to go our separate ways.

PacificallyRequested · 10/03/2023 12:04

He can wear what he wants. I think the fact that his wife didn't want to be named in the article says a lot.

Toddlerteaplease · 10/03/2023 12:04

The shoes look ridiculous. No one can walk elegantly in them.

MistyGreenAndBlue · 10/03/2023 12:04

Tight skirts and skyscraper heels? It's a fetish. I don't know a single woman who dresses like that. (I'm aware some do but it's relatively uncommon these days)
So no, I wouldn't like it.
