My DH doesn’t have the legs, but at least this guy is not wearing lipstick and a wig, and dresses his top half like man. His wife helps him choose the clothes.

He looks ridiculous.
How on earth could that "not bother" you as a wife 😐

Why would it? I'm not morally opposed to skirts and I don't think clothes HAVE to be attached to a particular sex - plenty of Scottish men wear kilts, which are functionally the same as skirts, regularly, for example. I also like when my husband wears what makes him feel good.

So if my husband felt good in it I couldn't give a fuck, to be honest.

The only way I could see someone being upset by it is if they think that a person has to dress 'like a man'/'like a woman' which is boring stereotyping. Are you against women wearing trousers, too? Or is that bit okay?

CharitySchmarity · 11/03/2023 16:45

I wouldn't give a monkey's. I've always thought it is unfair that men aren't traditionally "allowed" to wear skirts and dresses, when at some times of year it's too hot to wear anything else. Nobody thinks of trousers as being only suitable for men any more, do they?

I don't like the heels, but I don't like them on women either. Full marks to him if he can actually walk in them without pain.

At least he's realistic about the fact that he's a man wearing a skirt, rather than claiming he's a woman.

I get what some are saying about preferring men who wear masculine clothes, but I guess he is wearing what he wants to wear, not what makes him appealing to women. Plenty of men say they prefer women who wear feminine clothes but that doesn't mean women should cater to their wishes either.

Thing is though is women tend to wear feminised trousers, you occasionally get a woman wearing a masculine cut suit and tie but not that often (though women are luckier in that they can look good in masculine clothes and it doesn’t detrimentally affect their sexiness, think boyfriend shirts, you don’t tend to get men’s ‘the girlfriend blouse’) Men wearing skirts would look fine if the skirts had a masculine vibe but this guy’s old fashioned pencil skirts and stilettos definitely don’t do it for me (but as I’ve said before, I love a man in a kilt). This is just my opinion though.

I'd consider it his business. I wouldn't expect him to comment on how I dressed.

Somanysocks · 11/03/2023 17:40

I just want to know if he minces in that get-up, or walks like Dick Emery.

I must admit in all honesty I couldn’t treat the attire of a husband or partner as ‘anything goes’ as it would affect how attractive I found them. If they started to dress like this man I would be turned off and if I started dressing like the clown from IT I’d expect a partner to be not keen (I’d be worried if they liked it 🫤). I’d feel the same if they started dressing like a 60s skinhead or a 70s punk so it’s not confined to traditionally women’s clothes. To put it in modern terms I don’t like this man’s ‘drip’.

Ooh you are awful 😁

whatkatydid2013 · 11/03/2023 20:06

To be fair you get some men wearing all manner of stuff that’s traditionally feminine (Harry Styles for example or Jared Leto on a few occasions). It’s unusual but maybe it will become more common. It’s not that long ago women in trousers would have been shocking and attracted all manner of comments. If it becomes more common doubtless there will be a style of dress/skirt more commonly worn by men as in general fit for men/women is always going to be rather different so it’s unlikely you’ll ever see one range produced for everyone. You do get some unisex stuff though and a bit more of it wouldn’t be a bad thing.

ponyinmud · 11/03/2023 23:49

Not someone I would be interested in dating, I think the attention they got would be wearing.
I don't really understand why he's choosing to wear both high heels and a suit? Aren't they the most hated items of clothing for both sexes?

And yes, really, really, really dated look!

whattodo22222 · 12/03/2023 00:14

I think he looks great and very confident but I wouldn't fancy him

HoleyShit · 12/03/2023 00:47

I really find this quite repulsive. Absolutely no chance I would be ok with it if it were my husband. He looks ridiculous.

speakout · 12/03/2023 07:22

He looks awful- but I wouldn't like those clothes on a woman either.

MegaClutterSlut · 12/03/2023 08:19

I definitely would not be able to cope with dh wearing skirts but I can't deny how amazing that man's legs look in a skirt!
