My DH doesn’t have the legs, but at least this guy is not wearing lipstick and a wig, and dresses his top half like man. His wife helps him choose the clothes.

He looks amazing !

taybert · 10/03/2023 12:26

In an ideal world I am totally on board with people wearing what the hell they want. Clothes are clothes, they don’t alter our biology and wearing a skirt when you have a penis doesn’t mean you should take hormones and have your penis chopped off.

Unfortunately this is not the world we live in. The whole of our society has deeply ingrained ideas about what certain clothes mean. For that reason it’s VERY rare for a man to be wearing a skirt and heel because he genuinely just likes them as clothes in the same way he has a favourite pair of jeans or a t shirt. Men wearing skirts and heels is often related to a fetish and I have no issue with consenting adults doing what they like in private but I don’t think it’s necessary to be faced with people’s sexual fetishes on the bus or at work.

So I’m a bit torn- if it genuinely really is just that he wants to wear that or is making a point that biological sex is about chromosomes, not clothing or behaviour, then good on him, we need more of that. If he’s just involving the world in his fetish, then that’s not ok.

fairtrauchled · 10/03/2023 12:26

I can't get my DH to wear a kilt, never mind a skirt and heels. That guy has got great legs though(so does my very sporty DH).

taybert · 10/03/2023 12:26

Also, I’m jealous of his legs.

kittyk66 · 10/03/2023 12:26

I wonder if he manspreads on the train....

Truckinghell · 10/03/2023 12:26

I don't care what he does.

But why do people say he looks great when if a woman dressed like this, we'd all agreed she looks dated and/or like she got lost on the way to The Apprentice?

HangingOver · 10/03/2023 12:27

He does have unusually good legs. DP would go arse over tit on a set of stairs in those heels.

SlightlyJaded · 10/03/2023 12:28

I applaud him for not trying to claim that it makes him a woman. He is just a man who likes wearing skirts and heels and that's up to him.

Because of how I've been raised, because of society, because I've been conditioned - as we all have, I can't find this attractive. So no, I wouldn't be thrilled if DH started dressing like this - even though he does have the legs for it (he has better legs than me, lovely lean, olive skinned, tennis player legs - the fucker).

Blankscreen · 10/03/2023 12:28

Sorry but no. I couldn't tolerate it. It's anabsolute turn off.

As for his 'great' legs he could just wear a pair of shorts.

Imo its attention seeking. I can imagine that
😦 a lot of their life is spent discussing his skirts and discussing reactions to him wearing skirts.

MavisMcMinty · 10/03/2023 12:29

It’s so nice to hear you all complimenting his legs, because my legs are like his and I’ve always avoided skirts and dresses because of them.

CoffeeCakeAndALattePlease · 10/03/2023 12:29

That guy looks amazing - his legs are absolutely killer!!

if DH wanted to dress like that I wouldn’t object but I wouldn’t find it attractive…. But if he’s happy then fine, he doesn’t dress for me. He has very solid, hairy legs though so not sure he’d pull off the look.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/03/2023 12:30

I do care what he doing is if it is a sexual fetish I am expected to be part of. Ie, if he dresses like that in public and I am expected to be shocked/amazed/whatever. I'm sick of this type of shit. Reminds me of the pervert in his 60'swho dresses as a schoolgirl and hangs around outside of schools. Not as bad, but definitely on the scale.

This absolutely.

And tbh I can’t see why a man would wear this except for fetish reasons. Heels and tight skirts are uncomfortable and impractical. Some women wear them anyway, because it’s society’s view of what looks attractive or smart on a woman (although this view is thankfully changing). But this reason doesn’t apply to men… so that leaves fetish.

ChangeUsernameeee · 10/03/2023 12:31

My husband can wear what he likes as long as he isn't using what he wears to abuse the use of womens spaces/women only activites and his legs don't look better than mine in a skirt.

DaveyJonesLocker · 10/03/2023 12:33

He looks great! Good for him. His legs are fantastic, why shouldn't he. But I am one of those people who really give a shit what other people are doing with their lives. Are you happy? Yes, then great. Are you hurting anyone? No, then great.

Topseyt123 · 10/03/2023 12:33

The killer heels look dreadful, and dangerous.

PortiasBiscuit · 10/03/2023 12:34

Just another tedious exhibitionist. The world is depressingly full of them,

IClaudine · 10/03/2023 12:35

LivingDeadGirlUK · 10/03/2023 11:52

His legs look great but his look would be called 'dated' on the mumsnet S&B boards :P

That is what I thought! He needs a better stylist. But fair play to him, wearing what he wants.

Monzeitia · 10/03/2023 12:35

My husband has the same legs/body as he is very sporty and fit but no, I wouldn’t find him attractive wearing a skirt and heals, I wouldn’t mind on others

Zarqon · 10/03/2023 12:36

If DH tried that look he would swiftly become ex-DH.

I don’t find attention-seeking narcissism, or playing ‘womanface’ sexually attractive.

Runningonempty01 · 10/03/2023 12:36

I don't understand why everyone is saying his legs look amazing. Any tall woman who is slim and does a bit of sport would have legs that look like that in heels and a short skirt. It's just most women in professional roles these days tend not to go for the killer heels and tight skirts, looks rather dated. He can wear what he wants but it it a bit strange he has picked as slightly sexualised image of what a professional woman would wear.

adriftabroad · 10/03/2023 12:37

No.

Also, he looks like an absolute idiot.

rwalker · 10/03/2023 12:37

Each to there own but the guys crack it style wise

GetOffMyDoorJack · 10/03/2023 12:37

Depressing that so many comments are about what great legs he has and that's why it makes it fine. I wonder how the thread would go if this were about a fat man wearing the same. Or even a fat woman.

pizzaHeart · 10/03/2023 12:38

It’s up to him and his wife. I wouldn’t like my DH wearing this but I also wouldn’t like a few other things e.g being a very devoted footie fan or spending all weekends cycling.
