To just leave this training now and die of shame?

I'm on a work training event. It's casual dress so I'm wearing black leggings. Anyway... just gone to the loo on lunch break and discovered that I've been walking around this morning and in the canteen area with a hole in the bum of my leggings! Not a tiny hole either - it's sort of medium ish. Very obvious. I feel utterly ashamed and to think of how many people this morning have caught a glimpse of my arse and not told me!? I've turned my leggings around in the loos as I can sort of cover the hole at the front but oh my god. I want to die of shame. Do I style this out or just walk out and go home now? 🫣

Also my top does not cover my bum so it would have been really apparent. 😬

Style it out. You clearly didn’t know and it’s a reflection on them that no one told you. In the current climate, I wouldn’t expect a man to risk saying anything but I would hope most women would.

if you know a few others to talk to them I would laugh it off. Go back in and say ‘hey someone could have told me I have caught my leggings and had a hole I have been flashing my knickers all morning’😂 honestly I would laugh about it with them.

Any supermarkets/clothes shops nearby where you can buy another pair of trousers? Can you turn them back round and where your coat tied around your middle, maybe styling it out by saying 'God, I'm MORTIFIED! I've just realised I have a massive hole in my leggings, sorry to inflict that on you all!'. But that very much depends on your personality type...

The worst bit is, because my knickers were wedged so far up my bum (sorry tmi), I wasn't actually flashing them - I was flashing my bare bum cheek 😳 I now wish to god I'd put large black knickers on this morning!!

I would and have done said something like this. It's not a big deal. Laugh it off.

One of them I work with closely but the others I'll be very unlikely to see again. I'm not sure if the colleague I work closely with was aware but she certainly hasn't told me. I'm sure she probably would have so guessing she didn't notice.

I've turned them around so the hole is now at the front and I can disguise it more easily under my top 😐

Ask for a safety pin from the first aid box, from the inside of the leggings use the safety pin to fasten the hole together.

Thankfully yes for most of the day. It will just have been getting up to get a coffee during the break and queuing in the canteen where it might have been spotted. There were men behind me too in the queue 😬 oh the shame.

Style it out. It’s a shame another woman didn’t let you know though. I would’ve quietly told my colleague. Maybe they didn’t notice. You never know!

One of many reasons why thin leggings are entirely unsuitable work wear as a stand-alone garment.

no one wants to see your arse cheeks, camel toe or the fabric of your knickers ever time you bend over and they stretch out

Just wear trousers or a dress/skirt over them
