To just leave this training now and die of shame?

I'm on a work training event. It's casual dress so I'm wearing black leggings. Anyway... just gone to the loo on lunch break and discovered that I've been walking around this morning and in the canteen area with a hole in the bum of my leggings! Not a tiny hole either - it's sort of medium ish. Very obvious. I feel utterly ashamed and to think of how many people this morning have caught a glimpse of my arse and not told me!? I've turned my leggings around in the loos as I can sort of cover the hole at the front but oh my god. I want to die of shame. Do I style this out or just walk out and go home now? 🫣

The really funny bit here is all the po faced comments about leggings only being suitable for the gym...

She was in a gym, people.
She was wearing exactly what was suggested for the training event she was attending.

Just to put your problem into proportion for you. I once walked right through our busy village, passed a gang of workmen, and then arrived for an appointment at my hairdressers. Here, it was pointed out that the back of my maxi skirt was tucked firmly in my knickers. I went home a different way xxx

Don't fret. You were not rude or nasty to anyone. You did not make a serious job related error. This incident will make a great party piece when
told in the future.😀

Oh god its only a glimpse of flesh/knicker. Even on bum. I thought you were going to describe something much worse. You've corrected it, fine. Unless you want an excuse to leave training.

Don’t think OP understands that it’s so unacceptable to wear such clothing and it’s not sports wear equivalent they were wearing.
Dignity is difficult to explain. You either have dignity or don’t. I’m sure we’ve all been in embarrassing situations - mine was after visiting the lavatory, when my skirt was tucked into my waistband showing my pants - I was on the bridge of a ship crossing the channel when a family member came to my rescue by restoring my dignity.

Style it out and laugh it off. My friend once got a split in her leggings at the gym. She has really bushy pubic hair (it causes its own shadow on the wall!) and she was doing all sorts of hip and thigh type exercise so would have been totally putting her bush on show. She was mortified when she realised but still managed to finish her workout albeit doing different exercises. She likes to think that she’s been the subject of many a social event, brining joy to others as people tell their stories of seeing her.

Is this true? 🤷‍♀️
