To think that a man standing outside a school in girls uniform is not OK?

crinklemum2 · 20/01/2023 08:35

Name changed as this is very local and he was seen wearing my DD's school uniform.

A local school uniform shop shared images to reassure parents they would not be selling him any items. Essex police say he poses no risk and people should stop sharing the photos. He looks to be late 50s/early 60s.

He's been seen around schools - both primary and secondary - dressed as a school girl (in their uniform). I am fucking outraged that the police don't seem to think that's an issue. God forbid we offend men or shame their fetishes.

AIBU that this must be an antisocial behaviour at the very least?

Who the fuck are these posters defending him?

I'm wondering that myself, either they are very naive or they are interlopers trying to make women question their instincts on who is a threat to them and their kids.

People need to see past the uniform. It is the following schoolkids that is the important part.

The police need to say: we have noticed you are following schoolkids... how? because of what you wear...

Told this, the person might lose interest in wearing school uniform and the whole following thing...

HotWashCycle · 20/01/2023 11:46

Lack of action by the police is unbelievable. Yet again, the interests of girls (lots of them) mean nothing compared with the right of one man to openly display sexual fetish right in their faces. These children are being harrassed, at the very least. Why do the police not "have a word" with him?

I actually had my account suspended on here once for referencing PIE. Scary really isn’t it.

The majority of us whose brains haven’t been contaminated with tripe can see why he is a sexual predator. See also the post about his family coming forward to list what he’s been doing over the years. He should be locked up.

I'd be obliged if you could outline what the evidence is, preferably without the name-calling. If you can't, or don't have time, that's okay, no need to get het up over it, just say so.

Grayson Perry has dressed as his little girl alter ego, Claire, when visiting schools.

And that's all I'm going to say on that matter.

Just as well. I was told I was desecrating a national treasure when I pointed that out last year!

HootyMcboob76 · 20/01/2023 11:49

Its the end game for the TRAs.
No protection for women
No protection for children
Men can do what they want
Sexualisation of children
No ethical or moral accepted codes of behaviour in society if you have special feelz

Anyone even attempting to defend this person is either being deliberately obtuse or morally corrupt themselves.

Even 5 years ago this person would be shamed (rightly) and noted as a potential predator and it would have been followed up by the police.
Now they are actually protected and have people defending their right to act this way.
This world is fucked beyond help more and more every week that passes.

Let's hope he doesn't kidnap and murder a child. Maybe then the police will decide it was significant after all.

BloodAndFire · 20/01/2023 11:49

@JudgeRudy from the age of 11, when I started travelling to school alone, I was repeatedly masturbated at, flashed, wolf whistled, leered at, followed, groped and verbally abused by multiple creepy pervert men.

I didn't know a single one of them.

The fact that you claim not to understand how this man's behaviour is part of a very common pattern of sexual offences against young school girls makes me think you're either lying or you have an ulterior motive.

DesertIslandCondiment · 20/01/2023 11:49

Raquelos · 20/01/2023 11:44

I take posts at face value, I don't have the time or energy to track poster's habits tbh.

The fact that you and many others seem to think the answer is for this man to be treated to a bit of vigilante violence is a pretty good indicator to me that the discussion has moved on from reasoned debate. I have known too many people beaten to a pulp for being "different" to get on board that particular runaway train.

I'm not against people being different.

This is not just about being different. He is doing something that shouts ''Peadophile!''. He may be completely innocent but I'd say almost 100% men with a sound mind knows this would piss the parents off, cause them concern and most likely freak the children out.

LexMitior · 20/01/2023 11:50

Tbh, it should be addressed because whatever the risks, it's pretty clear that this guy will eventually be addressed by the local community. That's not endorsing it but if the public perception is that he is pervert and the police will not address it, he could be attacked.

Then it is a public order issue.

Go back a couple of pages, another poster is shared information about things this man has done. I’ll get het up about sexual predators targeting children any day of the week hen. What equally riles me is the apologists and creeps that defend them or try to brush away a woman’s correct instincts with a ‘nothing to see here’. Go abs try it somewhere else. Me and my hypothetical pitchfork are going nowhere.

Oysterbabe · 20/01/2023 11:50

The police should be banning him from hanging around the school. I'm surprised no one has punched him so far. I think I'd be telling him to fuck off every time I saw him.

I've been in that situation too as a child. None of the offenders were wearing a dress.

Yes it is.

I'm not well enough to work today and have been catching up on news and twitter. It's all hit me very hard today. My daughter just started secondary school this year. Feel like I'm throwing her to the wolves.

What people want is for the police to act. And they question, quite rightly, how the rot has settled so far into this stinking institution - which far from protecting the public seems to be protecting predatory males at the expense of the women and children they prey on - that they can confidently bat this situation away as 'no risk'. I doubt most professional psychologists would agree.

Vigilantism is a terrifying, dangerous slippery slope. But when the institutions put in place to protect the public fail in that duty, it creates a society in which this becomes an increased risk.

Which is, as I'm sure most will agree, not the situation anyone wants to end up with. We'd then have a society in which said predators would be driven underground and the kinds of idiots who join the mob mentality can't tell the difference between a paediatrician and a paedophile.

I quote: Essex police say he poses no risk and people should stop sharing the photos.

In this case, inaction could equal very serious consequences.

Yeahrightthen · 20/01/2023 11:52

Are you being deliberately obtuse?

This man is hanging around outside the schools, travelling on the same buses as the schoolgirls dressed in their uniform and taking photos.

How is this being “different”? We’re not talking about a man innocuously going about their business here wearing eyeliner and with a quirky hairstyle. This specimen is making a public nuisance of himself and doesn’t give a shit that his actions are upsetting children and their parents.

Do you think there's a considerable gap between just being a bit different and acting out a fetish in public and involving unwitting children?

mynameisbrian · 20/01/2023 11:53

He has probably got him self a Gender Recognition certificate stating he is now a woman. Therefore no-one can do anything and he can skip round in a kids uniform. Funny enough that out of those blokes who get the certificate only 1% go on to surgery to complete the process. Anyway I digress

RichardOsmansXraySpecs · 20/01/2023 11:54

Because in those days it was frowned upon but now it's a bloody badge of honour. The flood gates have well and truly been opened...

There are many many perverted creepy men who hang around outside schools and harass girls especially, but also boys, for sexual kicks

This could not be more obviously an example of very widespread pattern.

Why are you pretending it's about 'wearing a dress'? He's not wearing a dress. He's wearing a series of school uniforms, each one correctly matched to the school he's creepily hanging around at that time

It's a fucking sex offender in plain sight.
