To object to having to call a man accused of rape 'she' in a criminal court trial?

Firstly, the definition of rape is penetration by a penis without consent. Only men have a penis. This case makes a mockery of the law and the criminal justice process and is a gross victimisation of this victim?

Nicola Sturgeon quote from the BBC article:

She said: "There is no automatic right for a trans woman convicted of a crime to serve their sentence in a female prison even if they have a gender recognition certificate”.

So, what is the point of a ‘gender recognition certificate’ if you will not then be ‘recognised as that gender’?!?

Does the certificate come with a list of exemptions?

ie. You can be a woman when it’s not bothering anyone, but you may not be a woman if you commit a crime, go swimming, want to work for Women’s Aid…..etc…

If that’s the case, then we don’t need a certificate for that, do we?!? Stick a frock on in your own house whenever you want 👍🏻

Surely even Nicola has got to realise that she’s not making any sense.

Fascinated now to see what happens next.

Because lawyers will now go whoopee and rub their hands and start Bryson's discrimination case.

Because under law, Bryson is a woman if Bryson says so, and there's other violent males in women's prisons in Scotland who were popped in under the radar, so Nicola's discriminated against this poor violent rapist of women because of public pressure.

She has painted herself right into a corner.

So, is Nicola now saying that the rapist IS a woman but this woman will placed in a male prison? Or that the prisoner is fraudulently claiming to be a woman?

How can Nicola tell? Asking for the rest of us.

Hopefully some of the papers will be looking at their back issues - they're welcome to use our 'this never happens' thread to locate relevant articles - and get some of those cases out into daylight. Because even before sturgeon's dreadful bill, prison onset gender dysphoria seemed to becoming fairly routine.
