To Feel Sad About Lisa Marie Presley?

The newspapers are reporting that she has been rushed to hospital after being found unresponsive at home and having suffered a possible heart attack.

This makes me feel so sad. She has had a tough life with the suicide of her son a few years ago!

I don’t know why people habitually interchange cardiac arrest with heart attack. They are not the same.
On a different note…I don’t want to sound accusatory but knowing how America has a massive drug problem, this might have played a part in this case. Not saying for sure, and her people would deny it anyway, but it is a big possibility.

I would have thought that losing your dad as a child and then your son to suicide is tough.

In my mind money doesn't make up for any of that.

However, if you feel that's not tough, then we just have to agree to disagree!

I've felt sorry for her for years, watching her grow up in the shadow of her late father. As Elvis' only child every decision and/or mistake she made growing up was fodder for the US tabs with 'What would Elvis think' or 'Elvis' daughter does this or that'. "The little girl who had everything" had everything except peace and privacy.

I don’t know much about her tbh, other than she’s the daughter of Elvis. One thing I do know though, is that money doesn’t make people happy. It’s quite sad how many people think that people with money shouldn’t ever be depressed. Most of us live our lives thinking that once we have more money, that career, that house, that car etc etc we will be more happy. Imagine having all that and more and finding you still feel unfulfilled. Where do you go next?

It never surprised me that she and MJ. were...choosing my words carefully... friends. They were probably the only people who understood the other, who understood what it was to have as far from a normal childhood as its possible to get.

There is a reason that many "child stars" dont make it to full adulthood and those that do are FUBAR.

Yeah, and thats what caused all her issues. Her father died young and all his devotees put their adoration into her, a young girl who had lost her Daddy but was expected to give his fans what they needed.

I say again, she never stood a chance.

her son Benjamin was constantly compared to his grandfather what does that do to someone when they are so legendary when so many want a piece of you because who you are related to

its all very sad
