To finally want Scotland to now LEAVE the UK

Am looking at this new gender bill being debated in Scotland in shock and horror. I just think it is a barbaric attack on women's safety and rights plus kids safeguarding. What on earth is happening Scotland?

Men being allowed to identify as women with no medical assessment and after only 3 months of ‘living as a woman’ - whatever that means. Wearing high heels and lipstick? Certainly they will still have their tackle intact.

Then being able to enter our changing rooms and bathrooms, take our company board places and sports prizes, skew the gender pay gap data and crime data, give intimate care to our vulnerable disabled daughters and elderly mothers. No surprise which type of men will be attracted using this new law to identify as women. Let me spell it out - the violent depraved ones who want to access women and girls.

And voted through yesterday - allowing convicted male rapists to identify as women and enter womens prisons.

And on top of all this - lowering the age of transition from 18 to 16… where is this age lowering coming from I wonder….surely not something more sinister…

To top of off Scotland has deliberately ignored the Cass Report and NHS England on safeguarding teenagers and so is carrying on giving vulnerable teenagers irreversible puberty blockers and breast binders behind parents backs.

And the icing on the cake - when a woman dares to speak out and wear a scarf with the colours of the suffragettes - she gets thrown out of parliament. I feel Scotland has gone back 100 years.

I am scared now this Scottish loophole in law will enter the UK as a whole.

What does that have to do with leaving the UK? It's Nicola Sturgeon and the SNP and the mentalist Greens they are in bed with pushing for this. The ones pushing for independence. I'd rather chop my arm off than vote for them now due to all you've stated.

VinoDino · 17/11/2022 07:46

The only good thing is that Westminster will go against this (hopefully) as they hate NS.

carefulcalculator · 17/11/2022 07:46

I am scared now this Scottish loophole in law will enter the UK as a whole. It's not a virus, it's a legal position.

Yes but not while claiming to be women?

And surely if they'd stated they'd prefer a female to assist them this would've be adhered to?

Not faced with accusations of being a big transphobe if you find your care provider is a man 'living as a woman' and you object to getting personal care provided by them.

Catonlapfireon · 17/11/2022 08:03

The fact they voted to not add additional safeguarding barriers, meaning sex offenders will be able to change their name and it’s up to them to inform authorities.

Dontaskdontget · 17/11/2022 08:09

Nicola Sturgeon is mad and obsessed with her own agenda of an independent Scotland ruled by her.

The gender legal changes (which she is forcing through by threatening to sack her colleagues) are her way of splitting Scotland from England culturally, to bolster her argument that the two should be different countries. If she hadn’t picked gender ideology she’d be doing it with a different issue.

YABU for helping her do it. Your post is exactly the type of publicity she wants.

What about all the women and girls in Scotland? They deserve protection and support from England not abandoning to a mad bully.

Ndd135632 · 17/11/2022 08:09

@Catonlapfireon yep that flying through Holyrood yesterday has just made it more obvious that the SNP and Green Party really don’t care about the safeguarding of women.

@x2boys yes I understand that but this is more devious. If a woman specifically ASKS for female care she now can be seen by a man identifying as a woman. That’s the issue.

@VinoDino I do hope Scottish people put women and girls safety above independence but I don’t see any evidence of that at the moment.

@carefulcalculator its a Scottish legal position which will spread to the Uk as a whole. It will affect uk passport issue and what if a Scottish person with a GRC certificate issued in this new way wants to travel to a England. They can. It hasn’t been thought through - much like the brexit Irish border. It’s an issue that shouldn’t be allowed to be devolved because of this.

According to nichola Stergeon no man would ever use this to access vulnerable women and girls. When her government was directed to the case of a Scottish male (convicted) pedophile who has already used the current process to do exactly that they claimed it was made up 😡

This thread will give you the information www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/4658331-katie-dolatowski-up-in-court-again?latest=1
This biological male is currently in a woman's prison for assaulting a man in the male prison estate.
Oh and even 69% of SNP supporters are against this and over 80% of all Scots are against Stergons woke agenda

Ndd135632 · 17/11/2022 08:11

@Dontaskdontget i fear you are right. She is using this issue as a political football to pull Scotland apart from the UK. Shame the collateral damage are women and girls :-(

Flairmaine · 17/11/2022 08:14

I don't think Scotland leaving the UK is the answer. We need to stand in solidarity with Scotland and be glad they have different laws over there, as opposed to saying 'sorry Scottish women, you're on your own now'. I agree though, it's awful.

Ndd135632 · 17/11/2022 08:16

@Flairmaine but I’m not glad they have different laws there on this particular issue. And my worry is this will now infiltrate uk law. I agree nobody wants to cut loose but this is my red line.

safetyfreak · 17/11/2022 08:16

Vile woman, how can you do that to your own gender.

Ndd135632 · 17/11/2022 08:19

@VinoDino you say that Westminster will go against this - but the leader of the opposition which is ahead in the poles - is tongue tied on all this. He can’t even state what a woman IS which means we wont be able to protect the class of biological women in law.

OP posts:
Ndd135632 · 17/11/2022 08:20

@safetyfreak i think you need to be directing that insult to Nicola Sturgeon. I am not pushing this new law. She is.

OP posts:
Hoardasurass · 17/11/2022 08:20

@safetyfreak she's not doing this to a "gender" but to women as a sex class

WifeMotherWorker · 17/11/2022 08:21

BONKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!
It gives me the rage that men are being given more rights while taking away women’s rights of safety, equality, fairness and dignity. I just don’t understand the rationale behind theses decisions -
Women and girls require safe spaces (toilet’s, changing rooms, hospitals, refuges and prisons).
Women and girls deserve equal pay (yes there is still very much a gender pay gap and a disproportionate number of females on boards).
Women and girls should’ve able to play sports at a fair level competing against other females (XX).
Women and girls are entitled to female (XX) personal care to maintain their dignity.

Finally 16 as an age of consent is lunacy. It should be a minimum of 21 years old. At 16 they are still very much naive children full of hormones and zero life experience.

And don’t even get me started on the woman wearing purple and green being asked to leave. This is not democracy this is sleep walking into a very male XY dominated dystopian world. FUCKING BONKERS!!!!!!

They're the vehicle for independence, they're not a permanent fixture.

The SNP have had blowback from within the party with regards to the bill but the electorate need to step up and complain to their MPs too.

Ndd135632 · 17/11/2022 08:26

Until Scotland get independence then laws like this will pass - it’s like an autocracy. Whipped to vote for these laws. Voters voting them in regardless. The SNP/Green can do what they like until independence happens. And they sure are doing so.

Hence why we need independence for Scotland so some sanity can prevail.

Absolutely but patients/clients can currently request not to have a nurse/carer of the opposite sex. This is an issue when a career/nurse is still the opposite ‘sex’ but has changed gender. Such requests are viewed as bigoted.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 17/11/2022 08:29

Yes, the SNP want to be "different" and "progressive" but they also rely for support on the Greens and the Scottish Greens are behind this too. And Labour haven't moved past thinking this is just like Section 28.

As far as I can make out the only political party who are standing against this are the Conservatives. And that's true both sides of the border. Westminster has a Conservative government but not forever. We all need to work on this with all parties or it will be Scotland today, RUK later.

Prescottdanni123 · 17/11/2022 08:40

@x2boys

Yes, but normally female patients are given the choice on whether they want to be treated by a man. Nowadays it seems like if you say you don't want treatment by a transformation, you are accused of being transphobic.

Prescottdanni123 · 17/11/2022 08:41

Seriously though, should England have a referendum on whether to cut Scotland off? They want their independence, I say we give it to them after this (without continuing to pay for everything or bail them out like they want us to)

JudgeRindersMinder · 17/11/2022 08:42

@Ndd135632 As a Scot in Scotland who hates everything the SNP stands for, thanks for your support 🙄
