Sleep

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 04/11/2022 23:46

An intact pelvic floor.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 04/11/2022 23:47

Not peeing when I cough, sneeze or laugh

LeaveLeaveLeave · 04/11/2022 23:48

Silence

denpark · 04/11/2022 23:48

Sleeping on my own. Going to the toilet without daily re-enactments of 'do you want to build a snowman'

LydiaBennetsUglyBonnet · 04/11/2022 23:49

My entire existence

SleepCheeseBeer · 04/11/2022 23:50

Sleep or the sheer mental load that comes with kids.

LeaveLeaveLeave · 04/11/2022 23:51

A sink that isn’t covered in toothpaste
a toilet that has been properly flushed
a couple of biscuits left in the box - not completely emptied
my toiletries/make up where I left them, not having been rummaged through/tops left off/squirts of expensive tinted moisturisers on dressing table ..

there are more obviously

BabyBunnyMama · 04/11/2022 23:52

Freedom! Being able to just get up and go without packing a massive bag and lugging a pram and a toddler around or having to time it around naps or when baby is due a feed etc etc.

Sleep or the sheer mental load that comes with kids.

Agreed, the mental load. And it’s all mine since DH died 😬

Topbird29 · 04/11/2022 23:52

Spontaneity- the ability to just go out or do something because you feel like it. Whenever.

Changechangychange · 04/11/2022 23:55

Being able to go for a run when I feel like it and not only when I have childcare.

Not having to travel in school holidays (seriously, look at the price of half term ski trips).

Not having to sprint out of work to make school/nursery pickup time

Having a lie in at the weekend, not an 8am pancake session

Unicorn2022 · 04/11/2022 23:56

So many things I can't even count them. The bad outweighs the good by miles

I didn't despise my DH and all his annoying habits before kids

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 04/11/2022 23:56

Day drinking and good holidays!

Scrambledeggsontoasted · 04/11/2022 23:58

Just time.

Time to myself. Time to do stuff. Time to binge watch a whole TV series. Time to read a book. Time to sit on the sofa and do fuck all. Time to lie in bed all day.

I had so much time and never appreciated it.

cherry2727 · 04/11/2022 23:59

Sleep and the freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want with who ever I want to!!!!

WellWhoWouldHaveThought · 05/11/2022 00:02

Sleep.

RedWingBoots · 05/11/2022 00:03

Being able to have my bed to myself when my DP does shifts especially in the mornings.

Being able to have a hangover or have another reason to get up in the afternoon.

Watching children's programmes because I want to.

Not go have to go shopping for clothes and shoes so often as I don't grow out of them.

Not having a home covered in children's books and toys.

purpleme12 · 05/11/2022 00:04

Think I'd have to go with the pelvic floor as well to be honest.
☹️☹️☹️

InTheFutilityRoomEatingBiscuits · 05/11/2022 00:04

I never had any time before children. I had the most time in my life when I had only one DC and no work to go to, that was a short but golden time. Now yet again I have no time to do anything I want to do, but it’s not the kids’ fault.

RefuseTheLies · 05/11/2022 00:07

Only having myself to think about. Such a joy.

RemindMeAgain · 05/11/2022 00:08

Nothing really, if pushed I’d say not being able to go to an exercise class as and when I want but not really bothered about anything else, having them has enriched my life so much.

MonkeyPuddle · 05/11/2022 00:09

Silence

20viona · 05/11/2022 00:18

Silence, money and being able to leave the house when I please.

frenchie4002 · 05/11/2022 00:19

Time with DH
