Soup thread has me craving soup!

What are your favourite tinned soups? Also open to the shop-bought fresh soup suggestions!

Not so sure about tinned soup, I used to like Heinz tomato but haven’t had it for yonks!

For a fresh soup I’m obsessed with Bol red pepper & tomato lately! It’s 4 of your 5 a day in half a tub and I find it really filling and genuinely enjoyable (I’ve never been too fussed for soup) I’ve been having it for lunch a lot lately so been stretching it to do about 3 servings alongside a cheese toastie

Sainsbury's tomato, recently voted better than Heinz.

I found both sainsburys or Tesco's cream of tomato soup nicer than Heinz

freah pot - M&S pea and ham

and I will throw in Baxter’s lobster bisque - haven’t had it for over 20 yrs but I remember liking it…

I love the entire Crosse & Blackwell range.

Baxters scotch broth or Heinz cream of chicken

Crosse & Blackwell chicken & veg, heated on the stove then blended.

For canned the Campbell's condensed bean with bacon + cheesy bread is the ultimate cheap comfort food!

For fresh/deli soups I love a Tom kha gai, or chowder from the fish counter.

My new obsession for homemade is Ash Reshteh (Persian beans, greens and noodles!)

If mumsnet was literally all posts about soup I would still visit every day.

I am really interested that others use tins of condensed soups for chicken casseroles, pies and pasta. I was so impressed with my own ingenuity when i first tried that!

I have a tin of Aldi tomato and smoked paprika soup in the larder. I might mix it with sour cream to make a quick hungarian chicken paprika today!

Ooh lobster bisque. Lovely with a toasted bagel.

Warm a pie preferably pork, place in a bowl and pour over heinz tomato soup or vegetable variety if preferred...lovely !

Sainsburys vegetable soup. Really thick and yummy.

Heinz tomato for me

Aldi chunky chicken and veg for DH (personally I think it smells like dog food and won't even try it)

I’ve RTFT and looks like no one’s mentioned Aldi’s butternut squash & smoked bacon soup. It’s only available in the autumn/winter months but it’s delicious 😋

Baxters Tomato, Orange and Ginger is good!

Tinned - Baxter's bone broth, mushroom and barley.

I don't buy the fridge pots of soup, but I do make a lovely celeriac & blue cheese soup in the soup maker, which is my winter comfort food.

Tinned - Amy's Kitchen organic lentil soup or Waitrose French onion
Tubs - Waitrose crushed lentil or chicken and lentil or vine tomato.

My ultimate ‘poorly’ meal is Heinz tomato soup with cheesy soldiers for dipping. Reminds me of being a child, really comforting.

Also a fan of minestrone with a slice of buttered toast.

I used to be obsessed with Asda’s spicy tomato and lentil soup - it was so cheap, delicious and filling. They stopped doing it and I’ve not found any other version that tastes the same 😞

Heinz Classic tomato soup, which in the southern hemisphere is made in NZ and tastes like the original, unlike the unspeakably awful Heinz Big Red of Australia.

Tomato soup and hot Vimto was always my late DH's and my comfort food when "poorly", and still is.
