Crosse and Blackwell winter vegetable soup.
Lovely.

Cinders88 · 01/11/2022 17:24

Tesco chicken, rice and paprika soup .. it’s in a tub, not a tin.

Although no supermarket soup beats home made chicken and chunky vegetable soup in the slow cooker 🤤

Xanadu58 · 01/11/2022 17:24

Sainsbury's spiced lentil and tomato . I've recently discovered it and love it!

slowquickstep · 01/11/2022 17:24

Granny's lentil and bacon
Baxters French onion
Lidl's cream of tomato

Used to love Heinz but they are so watery these days.

Twilight7777 · 01/11/2022 17:26

Heinz tomato, chicken and oxtail. Baxter’s Lobster bisque before it became ridiculously expensive

CrackingcheeseWallace · 01/11/2022 17:26

I love heinz tomato soup but it always leaves me with a sore, painful throat. Really weird.

I love really thick veg soups...all the ones I try are too watery so would love a recommendation? We used to buy this tinned veg soup that was in a cauldron style tin but it was discontinued in tesco...im talking 20 years ago but it was lush. Can't remember name of it either! 😭

DrLecter · 01/11/2022 17:27

The only tin I like is Baxter's Cullen Skink. 💍

DrLecter · 01/11/2022 17:28

Haaaang on! That was supposed to be a little fish, not a wedding ring!!!! 🐟

Twilight7777 · 01/11/2022 17:28

Ooh forgot about Baxter’s onion soup and Lidl do a gazpacho in their French range which is gorgeous

ScoobyDoNot · 01/11/2022 17:28

Heinz tomato or lentil & bacon 😋

ilovesooty · 01/11/2022 17:29

I loved the Aldi chicken and asparagus soup but they don't do it any more.

Cherrysherbet · 01/11/2022 17:31

Heinz tomato. I love it on spaghetti with cheese on top 😋 I also love the veg big soup.

Thank you. Our son's toy elephant - George Melliphant. A jazz loving elephant obviously. I have to say his toy names were much less fun when he started choosing them himself. Elephants love soup obviously, just to make this an on-topic post.

Marmalade71 · 01/11/2022 17:33

In tins - Baxter's spicy parsnip

Or if anywhere near a Whole Foods their hot lobster bisque is a-maz-ing

OrangePumpkinLobelia · 01/11/2022 17:34

This is a thread I can get behind!

Tinned -

  • Baxters cream of asparagus and i add alot of that jarred white asparagus you can get diced in it. My all time favourite.
  • Aldi's tomato and chorizo
  • Lidl spinach and black olive that they do in Italian week.

Fresh pots

  • M&S pea and ham

I think that is it for me.

TheGuv1982 · 01/11/2022 17:35

Fish soup, though I haven’t seen the Heinz’s one for donkeys years.

Mosik · 01/11/2022 17:35

Tesco Spicy Tuscan bean soup. It's the only bought soup I like. It's very spicy and substantial and not too sweet or salty as most tinned soups are.

ouch321 · 01/11/2022 17:36

Cully and Sully are by far the nicest of the fresh soups I've tried. Available in Tesco. Not sure about other supermarkets.

Tinned soups seem to contain too much salt for me.

Unforgettablefire · 01/11/2022 17:36

Got to be Heinz tomato but now I make my own and it's lovely.
Sometimes I add a bit of chilli and dip cheese toasties in it. Try it it's lovely 😊

Chouetted · 01/11/2022 17:37

Chicken noodle.

Tomato soup just reminds me of being ill.

user1494050295 · 01/11/2022 17:37

The trunk must be a great help with soup! Grin

Getabloominmoveon · 01/11/2022 17:40

The creme de la creme of tinned soup has to be (in my opinion) Heinz Chicken. With a piece of thickly-buttered white bread, ideally Anchor butter. The perfect convalescent lunch.

The top homemade soup (imo) is either spinach and chickpea, or chicken and vegetable.
