Are these pictures creepy ? Shall I ask my boyfriend to remove them

Hi my partner knows I absolutely love cats especially black cats and he bought me these two canvases however I don’t think these cats look very
friendly!

I mean they are lovely pictures but I find them Very creepy
He has put them on the wall next to our bed
l I’m thinking of asking him to donate them somewhere but am I being unreasonable

do they look creepy to you ?

Can you ask them to put them somewhere else ? Do you both live there?

In one of the canvases there seems to be some sort of witch in the mirror And I’m sure that symbol in the other one is some sort of Satanic thing

As they were gifts from him to you, I think you need to be honest that you don’t like the pictures but in a way that is considerate and polite. Have you shown him the sort of cat pictures you do like? I’d do that. And say while you are chuffed at how thoughtful he was, the pictures he got aren’t really to your taste for daily putting up. Then suggest a solution…as in selling them on to buy pictures you do like.

They are creepy and that satanic pendant makes me very uncomfortable. I mean, unless you are into the occult, I can't understand how he thought that you liking cats would automatically mean that you like these pictures, it's a bit of a stretch, or did he interpret you "liking black cats" as you being interested in witches and black magic?

They're Lisa Parker ones aren't they? I used to have a set of mugs with these sorts of cat pictures on. I liked them but not sure I'd like them next to my bed. I think the witchcraft/satanic references is your way forward with this.

I quite like them, but I seem to be iin the miinority.

You need to find a gentle way of letting him know they aren't to your taste and they make you feel uncomfortable (or you could be at risk of receiving lots of gifts in a similar vein in future!).

Me too! I have similar things in my house 😄Genuinely can't see how they're creepy (bar the face in the mirror, that's fair), but they aren't to your taste so I'd just tell him, personally.
