They’re the sort of pictures I would associate with goth teenage girls. Not a grown man.

Ryder68 · 19/10/2022 13:09

The pendant the cat is wearing is a pentagram. It is not satanic, its a symbol of protection. People think its satanic because it is shown that way in horror films. There is no Satan in witchcraft, Satan is a Christian concept.

Yes! Satan is nothing to do with Paganism.

Does he wear a fleece with a howling wolf on the back?

😂😂😂😂

Crazykefir · 19/10/2022 13:10

You've given us all a laugh op at least. Can you keep then in the loo

pinkyredrose · 19/10/2022 13:10

ForTheLoveOfSleep · 19/10/2022 12:42

Not true at all. Here's an inverted pentagram depicted in a window on Amiens Cathedral in France. A Roman Catholic house of worship.

Oh wow, I didn't know about that!

WeeM · 19/10/2022 13:11

A million percent not what I was expecting when I opened this thread!

they’d give me the willies too, especially the one with the witch in the background. Bless your boyfriend for his effort though lol

Dear lord they’re fucking awful….

Sorry OP but I wouldn’t be sleeping next to Demonic Tiddles and the egg timer of doom either.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I love them Grin you should tell him that you've been experiencing hauntings since he bought you the pictures. You could really go to town with it!

kimchifix · 19/10/2022 13:13

Yeah, they definitely have "witches cat" vibes! I don't like them because they are so satanic kitsch - he obviously thought you would like them so saying you don't is bound to be awkward on some level. Only you know how he will take it - I'd be inclined to permanently forget to hang them, but I'm a wimp.

YouSirNeighMmmm · 19/10/2022 13:15

They are creepy and ugly and have no place on any wall anywhere.

Do you know what breed the one on the left is (black and white one?)

EmmaH2022 · 19/10/2022 13:16

Sorry, I totally missed that he doesn't live there

A boyfriend shouldn't put stuff on the walls he doesn't own or rent!

Greenginghamdress · 19/10/2022 13:19

I like the one on the right a lot. I could definitely live with them, but I'm weird.

FluffySocks0 · 19/10/2022 13:21

The face in the mirror is a bit creepy but otherwise I actually quite like them, but if you don't then I'd just ask if you could exchange them for something more to your taste.

Wherearemyspex · 19/10/2022 13:24

OMG!! They are absolutely vile!! If they are in your flat (not his!) I'd taken them down. There's a sort of ghost thing lurking in the background of the first one. Not something I would want staring at me while I'm in bed. ..... shudders .....

Elphame · 19/10/2022 13:25

That's pretty typical of modern neo -pagan art.

Not my thing and they'd be at the nearest charity shop by now if they appeared in my house!

neverhaveiDEVI · 19/10/2022 13:25

weird that these are screenshots from google rather than photos of the actual pictures you say he bought you

Why is it weird? I would do the same.

neveradullmoment99 · 19/10/2022 13:27

I think they are beautiful pictures but would find them totally creepy!
The one with the face looking back is the worst one on a dark night.
I think just be honest. Say they are lovely but just too creepy!!

SommerTen · 19/10/2022 13:27

They're very gothic victoriania type images.
I like them but I wouldn't put them on my wall.
Just say to your partner thanks but no thanks.

Boating123 · 19/10/2022 13:27

Keep them for Halloween decorations only.

catfunk · 19/10/2022 13:27

Sorry but they're just awful and very poor taste 😂 no way would I have them up in my house

BinBandit · 19/10/2022 13:30

Well they aren't my cup of tea - and I also like cats - but I don't find them creepy as such as it's just print on canvas. I think you do have to gently tell him and hopefully it will be something you can both laugh about in your future.

Kanaloa · 19/10/2022 13:31

They’re cool in a goth type way. If you don’t want them I wouldn’t go with any silly wishy washy ‘oh it’s because they’re too scary’ as if you’re a 2 year old, because realistically those pictures won’t actually frighten most grown adults and I doubt they frighten you. So I’d just say ‘I loved the gesture but they’re just not my taste, please could you return them.’

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 19/10/2022 13:32

Is he a warlock?
