To think This Morning are taking the piss....

They are just so out of touch with people and come across as so patronising and smug. They pretend they understand about people's struggles whilst earning thousands in salary and promoting £100 advent calendars. Today they are doing a section on butter boards! Some people can't even afford the price of butter at the moment 😔

I don't watch TM and TV.

but what's wrong with the promo £100 AC? first, this may be their Ad, secondly, you cannot afford it, which doesn't mean others don't. it just mean you may not be their target audience.

And, I am sure, ITV do have some program or news to talk about the cost of living crisis. don't have to be every program constantly in this sad mood.

btw, after google butter boards, I still don't get what is this, what's the point of it.

Ooh - I used to go to school with someone who worked for one of the big magazines and she told a similar story about Holly - this person (friend) also dabbled in the white stuff herself recreationally, seemed to think that as she'd moved out to the countryside (home counties) it didn't really matter...

The same. Used to watch Richard & Judy when I was a student. The program was interesting and informative presented by a couple of Journalists. It went downhill as soon as they left and now it's truly crawling about in the Thames mud.

I thought it would be like a cheese board but lots of cubed butters instead and "naice" breads to try them on. Was quite excited at that thought.

Not a spread of sloppy butter with crap dumped on top of it.

Yes they are patronising and not a popular pair of presenters anymore (just look at how many people went out of their way to sign a petition), unfortunately as long as people are still watching they will still be on TV.

So turn off the TV OP. Vote with your feet.

I haven't watched 'This Morning' properly since the days of Judy and Richard. It's not moved with the times and the stuff on there seems irrelevant today.

me too - Richard and Judy were ace. As soon as they got the newer presenters in it went downhill.

I'm sure I recall briefly watching it when John Leslie presented it, and then his scandal broke which was apparently dropped. Work colleague of mine in PR had known about him for ages being a bit of a perv and gave the heads up to us. It was something I watched sometimes if I was off sick but even then, hadn't watched it properly for years.

Would never watch this morning, it's disgusting.

It's not just that though.. its the fact that he has got away with it and that is like a smack in the face for decent people who switch on to see the pair of them giggling like schoolkids. I wonder how the boy's family feel when they see him constantly on the TV reminding them of what he did.

I can't believe they have lasted this long to be fair. Phil must have info on people is my thought

It’s not out of touch to cater to people who aren’t struggling as well as those who are. We should not expect people doing well to dress in sackcloth and ashes to pretend that they are struggling too.

I've googled butter board, from where I'm sitting it looks a lot like what normal people would call a chopping board. I did like the knob shaped one though.
