To say it OK to pee in the shower?

So the question is, is it OK to pee whilst in the shower - proviso being you ensure you have washed everything away properly. The topic of conversation came up relating way back to one of the Big Brother series where someone admitted to regularly peeing in the shower.

One logic was 'well most families share one sponge/flannel/fluffy to wash their faces as well as all their bottoms and winky bits' ..........

Unreasonable. Just don't. You haven't got 2 seconds to spare to get to the actual toilet? Lazy and gross

gamerchick · 25/09/2022 10:24

I found out a few years ago that people do this. I don't pull out hair from the plug hole anymore.

JudgeRindersMinder · 25/09/2022 10:24

🍿😂

KnickerlessParsons · 25/09/2022 10:25

Yes it's ok. We don't share flannels etc though, although we do share towels.

Twoshoesnewshoes · 25/09/2022 10:25

Yes of course, it’s just pee. Saves water on flushing the loo.

Who the hell does this? Packs of sponges are different colours to avoid this very thing. Gross to share.

Scarling · 25/09/2022 10:26

Sharing a sponge is a lot grosser than peeing in the shower.

megletthesecond · 25/09/2022 10:26

Sharing a flannel or towel is gross though.

HangOnToYourself · 25/09/2022 10:27

Only if you are alone in the shower

ChagSameachDoreen · 25/09/2022 10:27

It's fine.

spring149 · 25/09/2022 10:27

of course it's ok to pee in the shower. You're washing dirt, dead skin cells etc down the plug hole, so what's the difference?!

Kateandherbush · 25/09/2022 10:28

Surely everyone does this sometimes? It’s just urine and is being flushed away with gallons of shower water..

Sharing 1 face cloth / flannel is pretty grim and unnecessary though.

lannistunut · 25/09/2022 10:28

Sharing a flannel?? That is truly gross, it is easy to transfer infection this way.

Afterfire · 25/09/2022 10:28

Of course it is. Just don’t tell anyone. And clean the shower properly. I have kidney issues and my consultant actually told me to pee in the shower every morning as the warm water helps to get rid of any bacteria and helps you to empty your bladder properly. A lot more people do it than people realise!

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2022 10:29

No it’s not ok. We are a flannel and sponge free house, no chance of sharing them either. Bleurgh.

(Only exception was a week or so post childbirth when it was less painful to pee in the shower but I hated doing it)

BaronessBomburst · 25/09/2022 10:29

Peeing in the shower is a total non-issue. Sharing a flannel or sponge is revolting.

YourLipsMyLips · 25/09/2022 10:30

Winky bits 🤨

Stellaroses · 25/09/2022 10:30

I don’t see what the problem is? We don’t share flannels or towels. We share a bar of soap I guess? I don’t think it’s any grosser than sitting our naked bums on the same toilet seat.

MrMrsJones · 25/09/2022 10:30

When you wash your bits, it helps flush out your tubes.

I always pee in the shower

This. And as PP said, peeing in the shower is often recommended.

35965a · 25/09/2022 10:30

It doesn’t bother me. It’s just pee. The shower gets cleaned every time it’s used anyway…in my house at least. Wouldn’t share a flannel or towel though.

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2022 10:32

YourLipsMyLips · 25/09/2022 10:30

Winky bits 🤨

Yeah I raised an eyebrow at that expression too. 🫤

SeemsSoUnfair · 25/09/2022 10:33

KnickerlessParsons · 25/09/2022 10:25

Yes it's ok. We don't share flannels etc though, although we do share towels.

Washed towels? Sharing washed towels is normal and not really sharing. Using someone elses unwashed towel is gross.

Crotonifolia · 25/09/2022 10:34

People share a flannel/sponge?! I can't believe that's true!

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2022 10:35

I just don’t share anything. Everyone had their own towel, I have my own toiletries that nobody is allowed to use too. 😂
