  1. Ex colleague making a video of herself recounting an episode that she had in the shower after seeing a spider in there. Still wrapped up in towels she was and clearly just wanted lots of attention, likes and laughs.
  2. One of my colleagues is with a guy who she thinks craps rainbows even though many of us find him arrogant and rude. She posts photos of herself looking up at him in a simpering and submissive way and it's truly cringeworthy.
  3. Mll lady who says she can now retire her husband, how she is the luckiest girl in the world and posts everyday about how blessed she is and how everyone else can be just like her if they say 'yes' to the opportunity of selling her products.

You sound very judgmental and gossipy. This is probably the cringiest thing I have seen on any form of social media lately.

BogOffTraceyBeaker · 28/08/2022 14:39

I never heard of “life admin” until a poster on here who was pissed off cos their partner had no time to talk about “life admin” she was doing.

none of my business of course but I got pissed off with the term!!!

VladmirsPoutine · 28/08/2022 14:46

Why can't you just live and let live? If it's not harming you directly I can't see what your issue is.

minipie · 28/08/2022 14:47

Anything where people are posting for likes and to show off.

Oh wait, that’s most of social media.

brokenfan · 28/08/2022 14:47

Jack Monroe...

Angelinflipflops · 28/08/2022 14:48

Nearly everything

FriendOfDorothyGale · 28/08/2022 14:49

Fella on tiktok called snapshot eye.

He does dances and you can pay for a cameo off him.

He's 42 and so fucking cringey

ChagSameachDoreen · 28/08/2022 14:49

These pointless things. Just so utterly inane.

OneFrenchEgg · 28/08/2022 14:50

Most of LinkedIn

hopeishere · 28/08/2022 14:50

Identikit houses on Instagram make me eye roll. Blue kitchens galore.

Cas112 · 28/08/2022 14:57

Why don't you just unfriend these people instead of sitting on your high horse judging

Racheltension1 · 28/08/2022 15:02

People posting about their children and what a hard time they are having with school/bullying/autism/trans/friendships....sometimes with an actual picture of them crying. A massive invasion of your own kid's privacy, just for sympathy and likes. Often accompanied by villifying and threatening other people's kids and trying to start up little witch-hunts against them, which of course is apparently a brave, and wonderful thing to do.

This guy, I don't know how he hasn't been attacked in public yet. Can't stand the fella he turns my stomach

Bretonbear · 28/08/2022 15:13

People who never ever lower themselves to post on social media (as they claim it is attention seeking) and post nothing for years and then all of a sudden come out of the woodwork to post a photo of their child and a photo of the exam results.

Brogues · 28/08/2022 15:52

Article in the paper about coat of electricity impacting EV owners and posters gloating about it. Why wish fuel poverty on someone else? To be fair majority of EV owners posting saying they are on fixed low overnight tariffs so would not be impacted was irrelevant to them.

BigChesterDraws · 28/08/2022 15:57

It’s more cringey that people get themselves worked up enough over social media posts that they start a thread about them on a public forum.

TrickorTreacle · 28/08/2022 16:31
  1. Stay away from social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc).

One could argue that posting on here counts as posting on social media, but this is a forum and forums pre-date social media. Also, Mumsnet goes back to the early 2000s which in itself pre-dates social media.

ImAvingOops · 28/08/2022 16:46

I think people wishing their spouses happy birthday/anniversary etc - they are in the same house as you, so just say it to their face!
I don't mind people boasting about their kids exam results though.

AYearOfCushions · 28/08/2022 17:30

Someone is doing a partner appreciation challenge on Facebook at the moment where you have to post a pic and spiel every day.

A close up selfie of their massive faces every day with a big gushing text about how they're each other's rock blah blah and that's every day, for 7 days. One included something about their sexual energy and another was about how great a daddy he is to her daughters.

For reference, they've been together 3-4 months.

hangrylady · 28/08/2022 17:39

Adults doing dance routines on Tik Tok. Fucking embarrassments.

GuyMontag · 28/08/2022 17:44

That ladbaby tosser.

He's the very definition of ick.

There have been some very concerning claims made about things he sends to young women on social media so I think he may be getting kicked very soon

Racheltension1 · 28/08/2022 18:02

Also 'local' groups, about the town you live in. Obsessions with the ownership and future of the same little patches of land, people who think they run the town when they are talking in no official capacity whatsoever, photos of every tiny little transgression, just madness!

coffeetofunction · 28/08/2022 18:05

I can not stand people wishing dead people a happy birthday/anniversary/Christmas/ ect ect

ManateeFair · 28/08/2022 18:05

I only follow people I actually like, so nothing really. I see nothing on social media that is anything like as cringey as what I see on Mumsnet, really!
