  1. Ex colleague making a video of herself recounting an episode that she had in the shower after seeing a spider in there. Still wrapped up in towels she was and clearly just wanted lots of attention, likes and laughs.
  2. One of my colleagues is with a guy who she thinks craps rainbows even though many of us find him arrogant and rude. She posts photos of herself looking up at him in a simpering and submissive way and it's truly cringeworthy.
  3. Mll lady who says she can now retire her husband, how she is the luckiest girl in the world and posts everyday about how blessed she is and how everyone else can be just like her if they say 'yes' to the opportunity of selling her products.

The ones where a cheated on wife gushes about how fantastic her adulterous husband is. Thanking him for doing something ordinary such as breathing.
"Oh huge thanks to my darling husband Ben for taking HIS dog for a 10 minute walk today whilst I looked after our 4 children. You are so fantastic and gorgeous, I am soooooo lucky. You are the best husband and daddy ever."
Meanwhile Ben is working out how he can fuck Melissa from sales on the next works do.

Yes I've send this, wife posts gushing post to her amazing 'hubs' yet I know she's been shagging her boss for years and she thinks her husband is a fat sexless tool.

DoubleGauze · 29/08/2022 07:09

@ohffsomg she's on twitter now. She's doing the usual swaying side to side , whilst wearing very little. She's clearly unwell , yet 'fans' are encouraging her to keep posting. It's actually horrid to watch.

rwalker · 29/08/2022 07:17

Older couple think there called 2 jays dancing n Tik tok

nottodaytomorrow · 29/08/2022 07:17

The make up tutorials from "boss babes" who have their own "business" 😉 not at all part of a pyramid scheme 🙃

They slap the stuff on often looking like aunt sal by the end desperate to sell/ recruit.

Soddingcat · 29/08/2022 07:20

what about the various Facebook 7 day challenges ….
one photo , no words
ahhhh , they give me the rage
I attempt a piss take of the book one , it was lost on people sadly as I don’t think they realised I wasn’t being serious

one was Brer rabbit , another was the secret seven 🤣🤣

canyoutellitis · 29/08/2022 07:40

People posting about miscarriages, and neonatal death/stillbirth. It's so personal and sad. Why share that precious time with Facebook and Instagram?

MimosaSunrise · 29/08/2022 07:52

Anything well-being-related on LinkedIn.

Currently lots of posts from young women earnestly talking about rest and burnout - and why they’ve taken a month or two out in Mexico as a result. Fantastic advice!

Beating the odds stories about MH. It’s good we can be open about depression, anxiety and so on now. Less good that these things can now be used as part of self-aggrandising posts. “You see me as an amazing high achiever... but what you don’t know is that I’m taking antidepressants. (So I’m actually even more of a high achiever than you thought.)”

None of this is from people I know. It just all gets endlessly liked so I see more of it than direct updates from actual connections.

People who go on holiday and post a zillion photos. Just why.
People who go on walks with their dogs and take a zillion countryside photos and of said dog and several hundred selfies. Yes we know what you look like..
people modelling their clothes like man from C &A
People who are renovating their houses and put everything they’ve done on.

Just people full stop really.

hackysack · 29/08/2022 07:54

The influencersall copy each other

It used to be not speaking and just pointing at words on the screen in time to music

Now its jumping into a dress or jumping and cutting to a new scene

Must be exhausting being a social media influencer

FlibbertyGibbitt · 29/08/2022 07:55

Annddd people who post that it’s been years since they lost their dear departed dog or a loved one. Just remember quietly with your family.

cliffdiver · 29/08/2022 07:57

@70billionthnamechange EV = electric vehicle

hackysack · 29/08/2022 07:57

People who post. Every. Single. Day. Mundane
Events

Dog walk
Work out
Kids faces
Dinner

Aussiegirl123456 · 29/08/2022 08:11

Adults using filters where they look like a puppy or rabbit.

Strava/ifit or other daily fitness runs. Worse when accompanied with a sweaty selfie.

Food pics 🙄 - or worse, when ‘the man’ cooks dinner that represents road kill with mash and gravy, it’s posted with a gushing tribute to ‘my man’ and a picture. Donna, it looks as though your other half ran over a small child and cooked and blended it and fed it to you to hide the evidence. (Sorry, don’t mean that to sound so insulting).

MLM. Anything to do with them.

Boss babes. Influencers.

Hospital check ins.
Airport check ins.

I don’t mind pics of kids, holidays, cars, renos etc, each to their own. I like to keep all mine private but people posting those doesn’t annoy me. Constant selfies though is my biggest annoyance. Especially suggestive ones. My 39 y/o friend who is amazing posts multiple a day with those duck lips. I ask her why and she says “for a laugh”. Hmm k, if it makes you happy!

Personally I gave up posting anything on social media sometime in 2017. I finished my PhD and posted my grad pic, got a lot of likes and well done comments. Not why I posted it but flattering nonetheless. About a month later, while on holiday my husband took a photo of me in my bikini on the beach. Beautiful pic as I was with my children and just barefaced, messy ocean hair and happy. I was laughing like the joker as one of the kids had just tried to tackle the rugby ball from me, so it wasn’t suggestive or sexy in the slightest. It got so much attention when I put it on as my profile picture (hindsight), that it made me realise that all the hard work I’d put into producing a thesis meant nothing, what mattered is that I had a hot bod and looked like a teenager, as a 30-something mum 🙄Made me feel so sad 😭 I’m over it now haha.

overuse of emojis too (like within this post 😬😬😬 - feel dirty using them)!

GoneWithTheWine1 · 29/08/2022 08:18

People who post be kind/it costs nothing to be nice on SM yet are the biggest bitches going in real life. 😂

FlibbertyGibbitt · 29/08/2022 08:25

Oh and adults who feel the need to stick their tongues out in a photo 🙄

Womblealongwithme · 29/08/2022 08:30

Oh yes, the 'jumping' into a new outfit is shit.

Elsanore · 29/08/2022 08:31

This really nails a lot of what's cringey about Social media and really made me laugh. It's from a comedy special on Netflix.

Hope the link works

Calphurnia88 · 29/08/2022 08:33

Selfies.

crispsandnuts · 29/08/2022 08:35

Oh yes the ex school bully who posts #bekind.
Or people who claim they now have adhd because they can't relax.

HintofVintagePink · 29/08/2022 08:38

People who post every trip to the park or local swimming pool and tag in whoever was with them

People who tag their dead relatives in posts. That’s just weird

hellcatspangle · 29/08/2022 08:39

Someone on my friends list who just goes on and on about how hard she works and how difficult her life is and what would she do for some cake/gin/coffee to get her through the day....cue another post a couple of hours later thanking the mystery person who left cake/gin/coffee on her doorstep.

orangeisthenewpuce · 29/08/2022 08:55

People wishing family members a happy birthday. Just say it to their face. People telling dead family members how much they miss them. Pointless.

orangeisthenewpuce · 29/08/2022 08:59

leccybill · 28/08/2022 18:35

"Had worse Mondays" with picture of a pint of 1% all inclusive lager.

On Instagram "I thought I'd just pop on to say..."

Basically everything on Tiktok, apart from the parodies and comedy which I actually love.

I love the tips, hacks, book and hotel recommendations. I can spend ages on TikTok. But I hate people who do a close up saying how shocked they are about something.

cushioncovers · 29/08/2022 09:08

Everything that's been mentioned here so far. But what really baffles me is when people return from holiday and upload their entire photo album onto fb. Why do they think that we all want to see the 100's of photos. Just post the highlights if you have to.

VintageVest · 29/08/2022 09:08

People posting pictures of themselves crying.

People speaking in hashtags.

Middle aged men who have obviously been dumped by their partners posting endless selfies with the new flame.
