I love them all but I can’t find all the seasons. Any help?

Season three isn't on Netflix which is annoying !!

Julia too.
I doubt many will admit to being an Amanda ☺️

Julia on my pms days, Meg on my non pms days.

DangerouslyBored · 30/07/2022 15:45

Meg is the best!

the80sweregreat · 30/07/2022 15:46

I'm definitely not an Amanda. Met a few like her though. She is flawed , but I like the way she can take any criticism on the chin!

PinkButtercups · 30/07/2022 15:46

It's on BBC iPlayer.

I love the programme but maybe more Liz if any. Julia stresses me out, constant forgetfulness or lack of planning, rushing etc.

scissorsandsellotape · 30/07/2022 15:47

God I find julia so annoying

Ponoka7 · 30/07/2022 15:47

I think Amanda got a hard time. Julia was happy to kill her Mother off by not wanting to pay for childcare. She's married to a useless shite and up for an affair. For a short period of time I was Meg, with a smattering of Liz. Liz (Diane Morgan) is in a sitcom called Mandy, it's worth a watch.

Oo I'll give that a try

I agree at times I warmed to Amanda

Love Motherland.

Liz is obviously the best character. I like that Julia is kind of unlikeable. If it were an American programme she's be that bit sexier and that bit sassier. But she's just a bit of a hapless moaner.

Love the bitchy queen bee Amanda and delighted doormat Anne combo.

Kevin is hilarious. Although I can completely understand why his wife never ever EVER wants to have sex with him.

TheDuchessOfMN · 30/07/2022 15:56

I watched an episode the other night for something like the third time. I can’t believe I missed the fact that Julia had Anne in her contacts as “Anne Carpool”. I nearly wet myself laughing all over again.

kej567890 · 30/07/2022 15:56

Does anyone know where I can watch season 3? Can't find it on iPlayer

spiderlight · 30/07/2022 16:00

I am 100% Anne - a bit dippy, a nervous wreck, an incurable people-pleaser and prone to end up being a total doormat, but although I'm not quite head of product development for Glaxo Smithkline (I loved it when she dropped that bombshell), I do get raised eyebrows when people find out how highly qualified I am.

CulturePigeon · 30/07/2022 16:03

I agree that Motherland is absolute genius.

I aspire to be like Liz, the scummy mummy, but have never quite achieved her wonderful carefree, sod-them-all attitude (too anxious!).

But I'm not sure I agree with so many PPs about Julia - yes, she's relatable in the sense that she's harassed, not on top of things and comes off badly quite a lot, but she's also a terrible user and very unscrupulous. She'll exploit her mother, poor Kev, Anne (with the people-carrier), the church school she tries to get her kids into - in fact, anyone she thinks can give her a bit of a leg-up. I don't think she's meant to be an admirable character at all - or at least, I hope not!

Lovely Lucy Punch is brilliant as the appalling Amanda and the Anne character is a very well-observed enabler. We've all met them!

A superbly observed and written series - I don't want it to end.

ODFOx · 30/07/2022 16:04

I used to be Meg, now slipped into Julia. Thank god the kids have almost all grown up so I don't have time to quite slide into Liz.

Anne is actually my favourite as she is so surprising: when she drops into conversation that she used to be Head of Finance at some multinational before being a Mum, or 'who hadn't imagined that curly head between their thighs?' The only time in my life Ihave actually spat my drink out, as I choked laughing!

dalmatianmad · 30/07/2022 16:04

I binged watched it even I had covid. Mot laughed that much in along time.

Where can we watch season 3?

oh that was one of my favourite scenes! Grin

Amanda: Anne used to work at Gregg's

Anne: oh, er actually, I was head of product development for Glaxo Smithkline worldwide

FastFood · 30/07/2022 16:05

I don't have kids but I think I'm more of a Liz, except for the messy flat.
