AIBU to shove this paper plate up the Vinted seller’s arse?

Ordered some Nike Air Jordan’s for my DD’s birthday from Vinted.

The package arrived today, except what I actually received was a folded up paper plate in a tiny mailing bag.

Please reassure me that I haven’t lost all my money because I can’t afford to get her anything else. Have just reported to Vinted. I know on eBay it’s easy enough for sellers to scam people by sending an empty box or whatever so I’m hoping this isn’t the same.

It's fraud. If you paid by credit card, speak to the card provider and get it refunded.

That’s terrible. I’ve ordered loads on Vinted and it’s all been great and the customer service too. When you collect the item you have to say if it’s ok if not on the Vinted app. Just log thst it’s not and raise a complaint. You’ll get your money back.

They should be able to see that it’s the generated sticker and therefore fraud and protect your money.

They were £75 including the postage.

You pay a buyer protection fee on Vinted so you should get most of your money back I hope OP

Vinted don't release the money to the seller until you say the item has been received and everything is OK . Did they post a copy of the postage recept on your account

Talk to your bank as you may have some protection, I believe, on your debit card.

OP you need to report this to Vinted within 2 days otherwise they release the funds to the buyer

Whatever you do don't click the "everything is OK" button. You need to click the "I have an issue" button and then upload photos of what the idiot has sent.

Yeah to be fair the fraudster has messed up big time by sending you a small package with the label on. It clearly wouldn’t fit a pair of trainers in it. And you wouldn’t have access to print the label yourself.

They could of accused you of lying if they’ve sent an empty box and just said you took out the trainers. So here’s hoping you get your money back!!!

@Badgirlgonegood that’s what I thought, they’re obviously not very bright. The weight on the package says 99g and the Evri delivery confirmation says that it was posted through my letterbox. Which sure enough it was. A pair of trainers wouldn’t fit through my letterbox.
