Only if they were caught, surely...

YetiTeri · 30/06/2022 12:17

Yes absolutely. Particularly if they were caught, and particularly if they were married and had access to classified documents that could render them blackmailable.

ScottishBeth · 30/06/2022 12:18

What actually happened? I've seen reference this on twitter but no actual information.

Agree though. I have colleagues who are in relationships and I don't think they routinely even hold hands at work.

ShirleyPhallus · 30/06/2022 12:18

I’ve worked for some corporate environments where this kinda stuff happens all the time and no one really seems to care.

RedWingBoots · 30/06/2022 12:18

@ScottishBeth it's all over the media 😂

Changedmynamefor · 30/06/2022 12:19

we’re talking a very special BJ here….

vodkaredbullgirl · 30/06/2022 12:19

yes

Phos · 30/06/2022 12:22

Hasn't a very similar thread to this just been taken down?

WaitroseWoman · 30/06/2022 12:24

YANBU except she was his mistress/OW at the time, not his girlfriend. Instead the Conservatives unfortunately made him Party Leader and he's now our PM.

They were caught by another MP on the Foreign Office sofa, according to Private Eye. The real/other reason the story was removed from The Times about Boris Johnson wanting his then mistress Carrie Symonds to be given a £100,000 job.

Bloody hell

CounsellorTroi · 30/06/2022 12:27

At my last place of work someone came in on a Monday morning to find a used condom, a feminine wipe and its sachet in the bin.

PetersRabbitt · 30/06/2022 12:28

Depends if it was a decent bj surly

Has it? Seems a bit daft of MNHQ if so, when it's all over the media, in Private Eye and in Lord Ashcroft's book?

RippleQueen · 30/06/2022 12:30

It was. BJ BJ

FayeGovan · 30/06/2022 12:30

She must be fucking desperate

Milly90 · 30/06/2022 12:31

We had a colleague who was caught having sex in the office after hours by a cleaner

the cleaner reported this obviously

it got investigated and it was the ‘couples’ word against the cleaner who said they were ‘only kissing’ and it didn’t go any further

the woman left and the man got a promotion ofcourse

Violetparis · 30/06/2022 12:32

Why are all the news reporters/media commentators ignoring this story ? I can't see Ian Hislop/Private Eye publishing it unless they were sure of their sources. Is there a super injunction or something ?

Justcallmebebes · 30/06/2022 12:32

Depends on what the job is. Porn star? Then no

Violetparis · 30/06/2022 12:33

Opposition MPs are quiet about it too, it's odd.

Maybe it was because it was started by a PBP? I don't know how these things work.

The story in The Times mentioned a compromising situation and didn't go into the specifics of what that was. The story was apparently removed as a favour, not because of any legal issues. Private Eye can publish it, as did Lord Ashcroft in his First Lady book back in March. There isn't an injunction, super or otherwise.

PeekAtYou · 30/06/2022 12:41

Yes they should be sacked and the fact that the BJ detail was deleted on request makes me wonder why. Quid pro quo is how the government operates so someone is benefitting by scrubbing this.

LegInLegOut · 30/06/2022 12:45

I thought Carrie was a vegetarian.
