Because it's another example of what on the face of it looks like straightforward corruption - seeking to secure advantage for his mistress whilst in high office.

Even if you don't care about the morality of a man shagging his mistress in the office whilst married and depending on timelines married to someone undergoing cancer treatment then abuse of high office should still matter.

If that kind of behaviour no longer matters then we have the politicians we deserve.

It is yet more evidence that he was unfit to become PM in the first place.

Simonjt · 30/06/2022 14:49

The image it creates makes me gag, appropriate I guess.

When you get so high you can essentially do anything, the old “the higher they climb the more of the arsehole you see”. I once had a boss who was caught having sex in his office with two sex workers (at the same time), nothing happened, well, he was considered a ‘lad’ by his equals. Twats.

Florenz · 30/06/2022 14:19

I don't know about Starmer himself but there will have been politicians on the left that have engaged in sexual relations while at work, for absolute certain. Look at Kennedy. Look at Clinton.

Oh the whataboutery has started.

Eeksteek · 30/06/2022 15:35

I knew it would be him. Every time you think he can sink no lower, he goes down further. Or, in this case, she did. Allegedly, obviously.

Is there no start to his talents? How the fuck is he conning people into voting for him?

Incidentally, I read a piece years ago where the point of requiring nefarious acts as part of inductions to various boys clubs (the Bullingdon etc) was entirely so that the Lordly Old White Man Network had dirt to hold over people when money and legitimate power wasn’t enough to get their own interests looked after, or if the public voted the wrong way and so on. Of course, it’s appalling that power is subjugated like this, and I thought at the time it was utterly abhorrent that democracy was subverted. Except even that doesn’t seem to work on bloody Bozo!!!

How long are we going to be stuck with him? My dog could do a better job. She only licks her own bum, and she likes everyone, not just rich bastards.

Oh the whataboutery has started.

If you have to go to another country for your examples, it doesn't suggest you have much of a point anyway. And it's not as if either would have qualified as 'on the left' in the UK system anyway - hard to imagine either of them in Labour.

I can't actually find this story on any reputable site.

On paper not online, try Private Eye.

WaitroseWoman · 30/06/2022 15:39

Here it is. Not sure that the new Mumsnet images will show this ok though:

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 30/06/2022 15:40

Would it be acceptable if it was during their lunch break?

(I usually just have a sandwich)

Octomore · 30/06/2022 15:41

🤮🤮🤮

This is an image I did not want to think about

WaitroseWoman · 30/06/2022 15:43

Apologies - image 3 is duplicated in my pp. I'll try again:

Cyclebabble · 30/06/2022 15:43

Not interested in Boris's sex life in frankness. I feel quite nauseous just vaguely considering it. Much more interested in the fact he has lied consistently and persistently and appears to be willing to do pretty much anything to say in power. I have voted for more than one political party in my life, but this guy is s simple old school schister.

Gastonia · 30/06/2022 15:43

I wish I could say I was shocked at this.
(I am shocked that Conservative MPs didn't vote to remove him the other week, though!)

ThankYouVeryMuchGerry · 30/06/2022 15:56

I had to deal with this exact issue as a manager. Thought they were being discreet but were observed by three other members of staff. Cue a long investigation where I found out more than I ever wanted to know about the two individuals sexual tastes and proclivities, and then had to go through the dismissal process. Its something I never want to do again, and something I can't forget!

She must be fucking desperate

You’d think that there would be easier ways to climb the greasy pole 🤮

LakieLady · 30/06/2022 16:00

WaitroseWoman · 30/06/2022 12:24

YANBU except she was his mistress/OW at the time, not his girlfriend. Instead the Conservatives unfortunately made him Party Leader and he's now our PM.

They were caught by another MP on the Foreign Office sofa, according to Private Eye. The real/other reason the story was removed from The Times about Boris Johnson wanting his then mistress Carrie Symonds to be given a £100,000 job.

BloJo is Top Seedy:

Was it a £100,000 blow job?

Would you not fancy a nice meaty sausage roll? Or a chipolata and some out of date kiwis?

onthefencesitter · 30/06/2022 16:02

Where is the source? I can't find it

ShandaLear · 30/06/2022 16:05

ilovesooty · 30/06/2022 14:52

Oh the whataboutery has started.

Oh come on, @Florenz. These aren’t even British politicians, and one of them has been dead for over 50 years. This is even lamer than the ‘But Corbyn but Starmer’ trope than gets wheeled out on a seemingly weekly basis.

LakieLady · 30/06/2022 16:08

This is appalling and utterly unfair on all the staff who could have walked in on them.

God, yes, that sight would be enough to trigger PTSD.

Penrythejanitor · 30/06/2022 16:09

This will do Johnson no harm whatsoever with his vile fan club

If you are so devoid of morals and common decency that you are a supporter of Johnson and the Conservative party, then you certainly wont be bothered about him committing this act in the work place.

Sistanotcista · 30/06/2022 16:20

Hintofreality · 30/06/2022 12:53

I think I gagged more reading this thread than Carrie probably did during the act.

That made me laugh so much! Yes, the thought of Boris' wrinkly sad pecker out on the Foreign Office couch is hideous.

WaitroseWoman has linked to it up thread - it's in Private Eye.

Ncwinc · 30/06/2022 16:31

With the threads on here lately I wasn’t sure if this was about Boris Johnson or another wild allegation about a specific M&S manager.

Ncwinc · 30/06/2022 16:32

I just hope the couch has been reupholstered.
