I read that as "a £1,000 blow job".

£100,000 blow job? Interview for a £100,000 job?

Not forgetting Jennifer Arcuri.

Getoff · 30/06/2022 13:34

If I'd walked in on someone, it wouldn't bother me, and I wouldn't tell anyone, out of respect for their privacy. And that would be true even if it were someone I didn't support politically.

The idea that Boris could be blackmailed over his sex life seems fairly far-fetched.

Given the hours politicians work, and the variable nature of the job, the idea that someone using government time or locations for their private life should be punished seems ridiculously petty.

Bunty55 · 30/06/2022 13:34

Well, if were in works' time and they were using works' electricity for the dry then yes. get your blow job at the hairdresser's like I do😑

Getoff · 30/06/2022 13:37

I can't actually find this story on any reputable site.

Hello tory HQ

Good grief.

I read some of the other thread and I feel really naive as I had no idea it was referring to Bozza Blush

How terribly grown up and civilised of you.

So according to you, then Conservative MP - now ex - Neil Parish was perfectly ok too, watching Tractor Porn in the House of Commons chamber, was he?

skinhappy · 30/06/2022 13:53

JaninaDuszejko · 30/06/2022 13:26

God, imagine walking in on that at work 😵

Quite!

I can't actually find this story on any reputable site.

The journalist who wrote the article for The Times stands by his sources, as does Lord Ashcroft who wrote the book, as does Private Eye. Private Eye has been going for 61 years, since 1961 - is that not good enough for you?

And you can't get much more reputable than Mumsnet. It's on here.

rocketfromthecrypt · 30/06/2022 13:22

He is laughing at every single one of us. Nothing he can do will get him removed from office. He could pretty much shoot someone dead during PMQs and somehow the Tories would make it Starmer's fault.

Sadly, this is how it is.

Bostontrain · 30/06/2022 13:55

I presume it was Gavin Williamson (now Lord Williamson) who walked in on them.

ShandaLear · 30/06/2022 13:57

I’m now at the point where I’m thinking, “I wish Jeremy Hunt would take over”, and I loathe Jeremy Hunt, but at least we wouldn’t be facing disgusting personal revelation after disgusting revelation. The prime minister’s private life is a distraction and an embarrassment. He’s got to go.

JugglingJanuary · 30/06/2022 13:59

How far back do people really need to keep going to find 'dirt' on him?

How does Carrie giving him a BJ years ago really affect the job he's doing today?

Irrespective of what you think of him, juicy/gossipy details from years ago being plastered all over the media isn't helping our country one bit.

and NO, not Tory HQ. Just bigger worries about Ukraine/cost of living/strikes/etc. to give a shit about BJ getting a BJ years ago.

I suspect even his wife at the time gives less of a fuck about it than people here getting their dander up!

Hotchox · 30/06/2022 14:00

Meh. The guy does sackable offences more or less daily and no one can touch him.

Also, the Gavin Williamson-get-knighted-for-seemingly-bugger-all story makes a fair bit more sense now....

WhileMyGuitarGentlyWeeps · 30/06/2022 14:01

Possibly. Things you're not familiar with are sometimes unsettling & you need to run to tell someone about them.

MissConductUS · 30/06/2022 14:03

I'm a bit surprised that BoJo didn't take a lesson from what Bill Clinton went through after his office BJ came to light.

RockinHorseShit · 30/06/2022 14:03

Yes, it comes under "gross misconduct" I once actually had to sack someone for this, but not the boyfriend, the delivery guy🥴

Because it's another example of what on the face of it looks like straightforward corruption - seeking to secure advantage for his mistress whilst in high office.

Even if you don't care about the morality of a man shagging his mistress in the office whilst married and depending on timelines married to someone undergoing cancer treatment then abuse of high office should still matter.

If that kind of behaviour no longer matters then we have the politicians we deserve.

BellePeppa · 30/06/2022 14:04

Ooh I was rather naughty at work but this was thirty odd years ago and it was a very relaxed place to work. I came out of a colleague’s office (who I fancied like crazy) with rather a glow, my boss walked passed me and just said grinned and said something like ‘oh yes’ (in a ‘I see’ kind of tone). No security risks or anything. Happy days but everything’s so serious and dull nowadays😁

C8H10N4O2 · 30/06/2022 14:05

WaitroseWoman · 30/06/2022 12:52

Matt Hancock resigned - or went before he was pushed - when he was caught in a fully clothed kissing clinch in the office with his then mistress/the OW. I realise that was caught on camera, but still. Look at all the fuss that was made about that and, wrong as it was, it wasn't a blow job on the Foreign Office sofa witnessed by an MP colleague.

Matt Hancock was caught on camera and reported on the front page of a tabloid - no opportunity to cover it up, trivialise it and pretend it didn't happen.

There is a very good episode of Yes Minister on exactly this theme 😂

PrinceYakimov · 30/06/2022 14:05

This is appalling and utterly unfair on all the staff who could have walked in on them.

No wonder they thought they could get away with parties in No10 during the pandemic. They were used to people covering up revolting behaviour in the office for them.

picklemewalnuts · 30/06/2022 14:11

I find it quite remarkable that no one needs to invent scurrilous scuttle but about this man, to discredit him. He just gives us everything anyone could ask for- corruption, misjudgement, lying, inadequacy, infidelity, inappropriate behaviour, abandoning a seriously ill wife, illegitimate children ...

What has he not yet done in the 'unsuitable for office' stakes?
