…to wonder where all the stick deodorant has gone?

Has anyone been finding it hard to find stick deodorant? None available in my local Boots or Sainsburys- is there some deodorant shortage I haven’t read about?

Dove stick deodorant is now MADE IN ITALY !! i GOT SOME IN B&M at Edinburgh today so hopefully it will be everywhere soon

Just checked Tesco online, the Dove one is not back online yet, but the Sure one is available 👍🏼 (Although still says made in Russia!)

Happily, this whole thing has led me to discover that I actually prefer the Mitchum one to my previous Dove, so won't be going back.

I do think the packaging is better on the Dove ones though, but I prefer the effectiveness of the Mitchum.

I emailed Unilever, who make Sure stick deodorants. They replied that their stick deodrants are made in Russia, and they have ceased all trade with Russia do to the Ukraine conflict, so are moving production out of Russia somewhere else. Production is underway and it will be back in stores shortly. Hopefully we will have enough to last until it gets back on the shelves as nothing else works for me!

I randomly found Simple cream stick deodorants in my local chemist so bought a couple. DD uses them and so she's happy because all the others we've tried make her eczema flare up.

There is an abundance of Mitchum stick deodorants in my local Wilko, I don't recall them being out of stock at any point either.

I've noticed the mot hum sticks coming back into stock in some places - the price on amazon has come back down. Some places had the powder fresh, all along, but the unscented was nowhere to be seen.

I ended up trying their extreme gel, as boots had some, and within days developed a really painful rash. Thank goodness I've manage to stock up enough of the stivk for the winter, now.

Mitchum users - I'm coming to the end of my first one, and the wheel thing won't turn up any more. It just spins freely without any effect. I can see just less than a centimetre of product is still in the container, but no way to push any more up. Have I got a defective one, or is that normal? It seems really wasteful, there is loads left in there!

I don't think there is. The sure / Dove ones are the same it's just more visible in the Mitcham ones the way the holder is transparent.

I like Salt of the Earth natural deodorant. That comes in a roll on.

Someone up thread commented they'd found new supplies recently, made in Italy so might just take time to be getting back into stock it was unable because Sure and Dove were both made in Russia.

I can't find Mitchum sticks anywhere.

I'm using their roll on but it stays wet for ages and I have to walk around with my arms in the air to get it to dry before I can get dressed!

I almost started this thread. While searching for Dove sticks, I noticed that the Asda listing for them said they were made in the Russian Federation... So I think they will be moving production elsewhere and then we'll be able to buy them again.

Ah, that's where it's gone. Who knew?

I can only find Old Spice ones which ds doesn’t like.
I’ve tried Hime Bargains, wilko, Superdrug, Tesco and Asda.
hopefully I’ll start to be restocked again soon.

I got pulled over at Stansted security scanners for stick deodorant in my hand luggage. Cue DH saying I should have removed it, because obviously, stick deodorant is a liquid. 🙄

Contrary to many on here, I like the mitchum roll on. But by 'eck I had trouble finding it this week.

I've been to two sainsburys, super drug and a large boots ... no luck. Eventually found it in a small chemist close to home. They only had two on the shelves. And in general deodorant seemed to be a bit thin on the ground.

Apparently they haven't had much stock for ages. So what's all that about then? It's made in the USA, so not the Russia issue.
