Has anyone been finding it hard to find stick deodorant? None available in my local Boots or Sainsburys- is there some deodorant shortage I haven’t read about?

Picked up the mitchum stick one. I like it! It's quite similar to the dove with a more subtle smell. Might be converted.

Yes, DP always gets a rash from sprays and roll-ons and has been really struggling to find his usual Sure stick. He managed to get one quite randomly in a pharmacy a while ago but our nearest supermarkets haven’t had any for months now and neither has the Boots or Superdrug near us.

@ManateeFair the big chains will have removed them from the shelves and binned them, where the smaller places are more likely to 'sell of' their stock.

I can only guess that Unilever who own Sure will be trying to get production up and running somewhere else but needless to say that's not going to be a quickfix.

Can't find them anywhere. Available on amazon and ebay but prices are ridiculous!!

I've recently started using a deodorant balm and I love it. It's the only one I've tried in my entire life that I'm happy with. Kind of expensive but lasts absolutely ages - its the L'Occitane shea butter one and it's £18, but really worth it.

Blame Mr Putin. They were made in Russia.

The reason its off the shelves. This one is nearly finished. But Mitchum works well.

OMG I hadn’t realised! Last few times I’ve tried to buy it, I haven’t been able to. Had to buy Mitchum which I hate the smell of.

i find roll on sticky and spray irritates my skin and eyes.

Most stick deodorants manufactured in Russia. Until new suppliers in elsewhere there may be shortages

Hi, I've literally just been wondering this so after hunting everywhere I asked someone in superdrug and she said they must be discontinued as she saw some downstairs, I asked if I could have any, so I got 2 thinking they might be discontinued and when I found this post someone mentioned Russia in the thread, so I checked the ones I bought and it's a Sure cotton dry one and its made in Russia so probably everything made there has been taken off the shelves! 🤷‍♀️ I don't think the girl in Superdrug knew this tho and probably wasn't supposed to sell it!

Yip I'd think girl in superdrug has pulled it out the stock room not realising why they aren't on the shelves. Wonder how many times she's done this Ekk!

the only decent deodorant I have ever found are both stick - Dove men and Donna Karan Cashmere mist. Very similar texture (obviously different scent) but dove is a quarter the price.

No dove now for nearly 5 months. I have searched in store, on line - you name it!

I bought Wild stick deodorant in Boots recently on offer at £9.00. Usual price £12. The refills were on offer too.

Made in Russia - nothing weird about why they've been pulled off the shelves.

Interesting. I have just started using the stick. Impressed so far. Bought out of Wilko's.

Wild is awful. Really expensive and you have to gouge the last week's worth of each refill out of the crap packaging with your hands.

watch out for Sanex changing to a deodorant rather than antiperspirant.

Yes! I fell prey to this. I've used Sanex for years and the latest bottle wasn't labelled "aluminium free" or any of the other things that mean "this deodorant will not prevent you smelling of sweat". The first time I wore it I noticed the difference, and I binned it and bought a proper one.

I hate Sanex. Derma sensitive my arse.

I’m not a number 1 fan of stick deodorants but always get for overseas travel as they do t count as liquids so great for travelling hand luggage only

I have an ocado order coming in the morning and there were none.

I switched to the Crystal ones by Faith in nature from H&B a couple of years ago. Actually the best deodorant I’ve ever used period.
