Starting a new thread as last one wasn't accepting new posts.. Years ago I was a young dancer and background singer .. Very shy starting out on the job I loved (age 16 ) Jim Davison was on the Sunderland Empire about 2002 ish.. He was awful.. Moody! Shouty! Miserable, Rude.😭 I danced and sang in a lot of shows afterwards, and the much bigger stars were absolutely lovely.. But he is the one I remember most.. Awful man!.. I have worked with the Nolan Sisters and they all were so lovely.. I really understand how Linda (she was so kind and lovely to me, as were all of the sisters) did not like Jim Davison when she was in Big Brother (that was not the man he acted like on that show) Out of all the 50+ lovely celebrities I worked with over 15 years(some quite famous stars) , this is the one I remember most as the most horrible one.

Second hand experience - I have also heard that Phil and Holly are very unfriendly and cliquey. Someone won a competition and spent the day on the This Morning set. Neither of them even acknowledged her and were just rude and nothing like she thought they would be. I have to switch off the TV when they appear ( which seems to be every other show thanks to her producer husband) - totally fake.

Adele - she sang at a private party and was incredibly rude apparently.
Also apparently a real pain in the recording studio recently too.

Anna Friel - another one who is super nice to anyone she thinks can help her career - treats runners etc like shit.

I have friends who work in television and their consensus is that Bruce Forsythe was by far the most difficult celebrity to work with - full of his own self-importance, demanding and arrogant.

Cried out to Richard Bacon across the street at Edinburgh "Richard Bacon alert" - he laughed ! Did the same with Wayne Sleep at a Birmingham hotel - he blew me a kiss. Bez at Glastonbury sat down with me (followed by his minder) off his head and his wallet full of powders and pills. Michael Eavis as wonderful as he looks. Tony Booth (father of Cherie Blair ) asked me for a light back in the 80s when I smoked. Unable to say whether good or bad! Jim Davidson posed for a photo and was ok when he was doing his show at Edinburgh Fringe. Waved at Woody Allen in the City of London in the early noughties - he waved back. Shook Bobby Ball's hand in a restaurant in Lytham and greeted him with "Rock on Tommy" . Saw Les Dawson in the 80s shopping in Blackpool Co-Op looking daggers at anyone who looked at him. Had a mate who served Tommy Cooper at bar in Eastbourne where he lived - he ordered a half of beer and a quadruple whisky and other drinks. He downed the whisky and took the half back to his table to fool his wife (or not sadly). Sat next to Max Hasting's at the Royal Opera House for a performance of Don Giovanni - he slept through most of it whilst his wife thoroughly enjoyed it. Had a performance at ENO when Salman Rushdie came into the box behind just before curtain down when the fatwa was upon him with his police protection. At the interval, I shook his hand and had the opportunity to send him my best wishes and support.

My cousin went to school with Jodie Comer and Katarina Johnson-Thompson and said that they were awful. Real "mean girl" vibe and very arrogant.
To be honest I'm a bit gutted about that to be honest, especially JC and am hoping she's exaggerating or they were young and silly and have grown up a bit now.

Never heard anybody have a good word to say about Jim Davidson. I went to watch him recording a show once and he obsessed about a (very young looking) backing singer called Daisy, leering and making awful comments about getting her into bed.
She looked so uncomfortable 😬

I think you have to give an amnesty to celebs when they were schoolkids. Within reason many of us weren’t great at that age.

I met Peter Andre at his book signing a long long time ago and he was absolutely lovely. Stayed for 4 hours extra so he could sign everyone's book who had queued for hours to meet him. Had a quick chat with everyone and thanked them for coming. I still love him to this day

I was just going to post that Peter Andre is absolutely lovely. Have seen him twice.
Once at a cash point with Katie Price in Brighton….years ago and we got chatting and they were both really friendly.
Second time I asked him to move his car so I could park and he had his doggie on the car seat .We chatted about doggies for about 5 mins …a really lovely, genuine guy .

MissConductUS · 07/06/2022 23:45

Art Garfunkel. He played a solo gig at a community theater I worked at part-time while I was a SAHM. He was the worst diva I ever had to deal with there. He complained about everything, was rude to the staff, and just generally was a dick. I think he was bitter about never achieving the success that Paul Simon had.

7eleven · 07/06/2022 23:49

My friend once saw Bob Geldof haggling in a charity shop.

7eleven · 07/06/2022 23:49

Another friend met Will Young and said he was an utter arse.

sweetkitty · 07/06/2022 23:51

Sean Connery was awful, a friend did a gig at a party he was hosting. They were told beforehand not to talk to him or even look at him.

Heard the same about Bruce Forsyth from several people including a London cabbie who said he was the worst person he’s ever had in his cab.

TankFlyBoss · 07/06/2022 23:58

Timmy mallet. Absolute bell end

Timmy Mallet. Absolute bell end.

Bob Geldof. Absolutely vile, rude and up himself when I had the misfortune to check him in .
Jeremy Irons on the other hand was always an utter gentleman to check in; remembering our names and warmly greeting us. Toya Wilcox was also really lovely.

Agree! I served Bob in a little chef once about 20 years ago, rude prick.

PiffleWiffleWoozle · 08/06/2022 00:02

Gordon Brown, really rude to waiters, waitresses etc. I was so disappointed as I thought he was a decent human being.

AnxietyLevelMax · 08/06/2022 00:04

Not myself directly but my husband few years ago through work:

  • idris alba - great guy, friendly and just nice

  • david beckham - seemed nice but not too friendly nor chatty, more like polite but minding his own business

  • victoria beckham - ignored him completely, didnt talk to anyone “below” her or anyone not important enough, didnt smile

  • colin farrell - way too chatty about things which he shouldnt say!

  • danny devito - kept his distance from anyone he didnt know but was also funny

there were few more

Sad about Bob Geldof.. It seem the nicer they come across on tv the worse they are in real life 🤔🤔...

So how did you & your family expect the racist, misogynist shit that is Jim Davidson to be nice???

minutesturntohours · 08/06/2022 00:11

KilmordenCastle · 07/06/2022 20:47

Not me but my colleagues served Rylan Clark-Neal at the restaurant I worked in at the time. This was quite a long time ago, maybe a couple of years after he did x factor. Apparently he was horrible. Really rude, obnoxious, difficult, complained about everything and just generally gave off an air of "don't you know who I am". Everyone who was working that shift said he was a complete dick and they prayed he'd never set foot in the restaurant again. I was glad I was off that night 😂

Noooooooo! he seems so lovely!

ArtVandalay · 08/06/2022 00:14

Anna Friel - another one who is super nice to anyone she thinks can help her career - treats runners etc like shit.

A friend of ours would completely concur with this. He works as crew and says she’s the most unpleasant actor he’s ever encountered.

Bouledeneige · 08/06/2022 00:15

Peter Sissons was very pompous and Jeffrey Archer very patronising. Carol Vorderman and Angela Rippon both a bit dim. Esther Rantzen was all me, me, me.

MissyCooperismyShero · 08/06/2022 00:15

Craig Charles. Aloof, bored, self-important, and just plain rude. By far the worst I have met. Rory Bremner was a delight as was unexpectedly, Noel Gallagher, who I had thought might be tricky.

I have a photo of young Jeremy irons kissing teenage me outside the theatre in Stratford on avon.

Val Lehman....Bea smith in cell block H...rude, miserable.....I had to interview her after a play....the audience was full of lesbians in dungarees etc....she was angry about that.....ranted that they were not there to see the play and refused to answer any questions about her soap days....she smiled for the camera but snapped at the man to hurry up and get out...!

earsup · 08/06/2022 00:24

Also met lionel blair briefly at same theatre as the val lehman interview on a different date....he was pleasant but creepy...had about 5 spotty, rough looking teenage lads on his table....mmmm....read into that what you will....!!!

jazzchilli · 08/06/2022 00:25

Not rude exactly, but years before Ant McPartlin was caught drink driving, Ant and Dec nearly mowed me and my colleagues down on Baker Street.

They completely ignored the fact that all the other traffic was at a standstill and zoomed out of a side street into a zebra crossing.

It was just about when we had camera phones but no one captured it. They just looked shocked and sped off. Can't remember which one was driving.
