Yes I know she's interviewing Boris but for fuck's sake, let him get a word in edgeways, even worse when Adil Ray is on as well.

She's so rude

PuppyMonkey · 03/05/2022 08:45

She’s talking a lot more than he is, what a waste of everyone’s time.

XVGN · 03/05/2022 08:48

She's making a lot more money than he is. They're both a waste of time.

vodkaredbullgirl · 03/05/2022 08:54

She has been with Pier Morgan too much.

supadupapupascupa · 03/05/2022 08:56

I'm appalled actually. What does she think he is? A magician??

WhatdoImean · 03/05/2022 08:57

Actually, I am happy with it. I would not have any deference for a lying member of parliament either....

supadupapupascupa · 03/05/2022 08:58

I can't stand it. Ask a question. Allow an answer. Ffs I can't hear a word

newnamethanks · 03/05/2022 09:03

Rude? Well, tut, dear me, we expect better from the ladies don't we? Early start for the Boz fans today. Susanna was excellent and the PM was his usual smarmy, shifty, evasive self. 'We have cut National Insurance' 😅

WhatdoImean · 03/05/2022 09:03

Not sure his answers are helping him :-)

BJ:- "I am adding more nurses and police"

SR:- "Yes - but you cut them in the first place....."

WhatdoImean · 03/05/2022 09:04

Yep - it does feel like Central Office are on here soon, trying to set a "tone" for the discussion.... ;-)

Get in early, establish the discussion (i.e. blame the interviewer, NOT nice charming Boris) and make it all seem HER fault

SpindleInTheWind · 03/05/2022 09:07

Boris Johnson is a hideous, lying, venal bastard.

Susanna Reid isn't.

I came on here to make this point but you did it more succinctly than me 😂 The tories have also tanked the economy and greatly exacerbated the cost of living crisis with their flawed policies.

StrangeCondition · 03/05/2022 09:21

Yes, I don't have an issue with her questions and Boris is everything you've said he is but what's the point of an interview and not letting him answer?

OP posts:
SunaksNutsack · 03/05/2022 09:24

I didn’t see the interview but he clearly isn’t worthy of respect or being listened to. He is a waste of airtime. Good for her if she was making this point.

MarshaBradyo · 03/05/2022 09:27

I haven’t watched any of it, this or other stuff but the whole interviewer interrupting thing drives me nuts

Let people answer. R4 does this, not sure if Reid is worse with it or not

ArtVandalay · 03/05/2022 09:31

It’s the Piers Morgan effect, sadly.

All of the GMB presenters now seem to think the interrupting/rude style of interview is what we want.

Mistlewoeandwhine · 03/05/2022 09:40

BJ should be utterly destroyed by the media and held accountable for every single lie, every occasion of misappropriation of public funds, every crime and every poor action as PM. If someone is finally taking him to task over that then Thank God. 👌

Tlollj · 03/05/2022 09:43

I can’t stand any interviewer asking questions and not letting anyone answer. I don’t watch GMB so don’t know if this was the case this morning. I just don’t see the point.

SweetMeadow · 03/05/2022 09:45

Perhaps she did him a favour by talking lots?

His response to the example of 77 year old Elsie, using her free bus pass to stay warm on the buses instead of being at home because she can’t afford to heat it, was to say proudly that he was responsible for introducing that free bus pass… It just shows how out of touch he really is.

StrangeCondition · 03/05/2022 09:45

So why bother with the interview?

OP posts:
SleeplessInEngland · 03/05/2022 09:45

The interview did its job: made it clear neither he nor his party has an answer to the cost of living crisis.

StoneofDestiny · 03/05/2022 09:47

I'd not give him an inch either - he has sent minions to answer on his behalf for 5 years and avoided debates with fellow politicians on every major crisis the country has been facing. . He is an utterly vile, smug, liar and a disgrace to the office he holds.

4am · 03/05/2022 09:51

SR conducted a perfectly well executed interview given the circumstances and the person she was interviewing imo.

Yellownightmare · 03/05/2022 09:53

When you know what's coming out of his mouth is self-serving twaddle, then it's not surprising she closes him down to attempt to get some kind of answer to the actual question.

worriedatthistime · 03/05/2022 09:55

No its rude to not let someone answer and a waste of time interviewing them. All mps from any party should just refuse to go on the where would they be.
Someone can dig a bigger hole if they answer so you could actually be helping them if you don't give a chance
And yes she prob does get paid more than the PM which is ironic

baroqueandblue · 03/05/2022 09:56

what's the point of an interview and not letting him answer

If every word that comes out of his mouth wasn't a lie, there might be a point in letting him speak Hmm

It was a hugely successful operation, in my view, because when he did get a word in, he showed just how out of touch with the 'target audience' he really is:

"Who's Lorraine?" 🙄
