I thought it was a good interview. While he is rarely interviewed, other politicians appear on TV regularly and often they are having to defend his lies. He should be open to more scrutiny from the press so the public can see what he's like and he can attempt to defend his actions himself.

I think she did an exemplary job, each time he tried to deflect and not answer the question, she dragged him back kicking and screaming. He was late, as usual ill prepared and thought he would bluff his way through. Her interviewing confirmed that he is out of touch and continues to tell lies.

I've never watched this programme so are not familiar with Susanna Reid and her interview style but I'm watching the interview on youtube.

I really can't see the issue OP.

She's interviewing him. She needs to set the pace and the agenda.

She's asking question and allowing him to answer.

She has a limited amount of time, she needs to get her points and questions in and if she sits there like a nice, polite, good little girl listening to him waffle on about 'we've done this and we've done that', she'll never get anywhere; she's currently, as I listen, trying to get him off the subject of all the 'wonderful' things he did during the pandemic.

She isn't being rude, she's asking question and she wants sensible answers.

She knows who she's dealing with and she's interviewing accordingly.

She's absolutely fine. Actually, I think she's done a bloody good job.

I don't think Susanna was rude, I think she was furious. I think a lot of people in the country are feeling angry and would also like to have a good go at Boris. Too many people are suffering, and this government is not doing enough to support them.

I just watched the interview. Apprently Dominic Cummings never let him do long format interviews, I can see why. He is basically incoherent - on cost of living he kept sayng 'we have to do more' and 'we are doing everything we can' - which one is it?

The point about Elsie in her Band F house with no cash coming in to pay the bills - that is a core Tory voter. They can't even look after their own voters. They no longer work for any sector of the electorate, they exist purely to dish out contracts to their cronies.

What a twat. Either he doesn't know who Lorraine is, in which case he is completely out of touch given how long Lorraine has been knocking about, or it was his hilarious 'bumbling' routine yet again, in which case he was lying. Again.

She wasn't rude, she just refused to let him control the interview. She did a great job.
