I’m just so sad. Why do these dreadful people do this?

I want to breathe the life back into him and take him away from all that pain.

I’m a fairly rubbish parent a lot if the time. But I just can’t conceive of the evil that does this to a poor little child.

All 3 found guilty.

Merryoldgoat · 21/04/2022 16:15

I’m glad. The poor boy.

Pure scum. Complete evil

SnottyLottie · 21/04/2022 16:46

I’ve seen in various news articles that the abuse (at least on the stepfather’s part) was racially motivated due to Logan’s mixed heritage and that he (stepdad) was a member of the National Front. Logan was kept away from his father and maternal grandmother because of their race/heritage.

Absolutely heartbroken for that beautiful little boy. Yet another child let down by people who were meant to protect him. It never ends.

NotMyselfWithoutCoffee · 21/04/2022 16:49

Justice at last for logan, may you rest now. Flowers

Cauliflowersqueeze · 21/04/2022 16:49

Animals don’t treat their babies like that

EdwinaSharma · 21/04/2022 16:52

It really doesn't seem to end. He just had absolutely nobody to care for him or that he could have told about what was happening to him.

It's beyond comprehension that three people could all treat another person like this. It's also beyond comprehension that they thought they could ever get away with it.

BlankaBanka · 21/04/2022 16:55

Utterly heartbreaking. Knowing the justice system here, the Mum will probably be released when she’s still young enough to have more children. Just awful.

Events like this make me hug my children tighter, I may not be the best Mum in the world, but I’m so glad they’ll never know a life like poor Logan had.

Spanglemum · 21/04/2022 16:56

It's appalling. John Cole had previous convictions for violence towards a child. Why do these women prioritise their violent partners?

I have no idea and it makes me so angry. We see this time and time again.

the80sweregreat · 21/04/2022 17:04

Another child murdered without a voice or anyone around to stand up for him or save him
It's all too utterly heartbreaking :(
So sad , yet the taxpayers will keep his 'mum' and the others that killed him in prison.
There just isn't any justice in the world really.
It's just so depraved and depressing
Poor Logan, he didn't stand a chance , poor soul.

EdwinaSharma · 21/04/2022 18:03

For me, this makes it worse somehow. That my own children are so loved and looked after whilst others are held up against walls by their necks and denied food.

I don’t understand why they keep them. I understand why people have dc initially but when they don’t want to be parents or to look after their dc why do they push and push and abuse them and make their lives so absolutely miserable?

Skydreams · 21/04/2022 18:09

Pure scum, all 3 of them. They should never see the light of day again and if the 14yo is committing these type of crimes then what hope is there for him to be rehabilitated?

Could only hope that fellow prisoners will serve their own justice given that the justice system is likely to give pitiful sentences yet again.

MinorWomensWhiplash1 · 21/04/2022 18:16

Absolutely disgusting pieces of shit. I hope they get significant sentences and sterilisation should be a condition of release.

MaryStuart · 21/04/2022 18:26

I’m just so sad that there is yet another horrific child murder case. Poor Logan was known to social services (so I’ve just seen on the BBC news). I know SS has had chronic underfunding for years, but it’s not good enough if so many children are losing their lives at the hands of people who are meant to be protecting them.
RIP Logan.

Makes me so angry that so often a stepdad is involved. I don't have children but I would not even let a man treat my dogs badly. What is the matter with these women?

Greenmascara · 21/04/2022 18:48

Why is it that these children are always, always "known to SS/ on a child protection plan/ family have made recent reports to SS," e.g. Star Hobson/ Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and now Logan ? What on earth are SS doing 🙄

GreenClock · 21/04/2022 19:27

The 14 year old had been in foster care with a local couple, and was abusive towards the wife. He also abused the family dog knowing it had a damaged pelvis (he’d hang the dog upside down by its back legs, and squirt aerosol into its eyes). He said he wanted to kill Logan.

The couple reported it all to the social worker, who denied all knowledge of the matter in court and referred to the teenager’s “banter”. It’s an absolute shambles and a child has paid the price.

I hope these monsters get a suitable welcome from their new flatmates.

Merryoldgoat · 21/04/2022 19:38

I just want to hold him.

OP posts:
Roses1221 · 21/04/2022 19:40

How can this continue to happen time and time again? A catalogue of reports, concerns and visits to this poor little lad who was absolutely failed by his mother (and I use that term loosely) and the authorities paid to protect him. If you wish to adopt a dog you, your family and your home are checked for your suitability to make sure you can give the dog a good life, yet anybody can have a child and be left to get on with it. RIP little guy.

Spanglemum · 21/04/2022 19:43

I agree. With so many children who are murdered there is a step-parent type figure involved/responsible.

Daphnedot · 21/04/2022 19:48

She is apparently from a affluent background and had a decent upbringin.

Merryoldgoat · 21/04/2022 19:57

@Roses1221

I know, it’s utterly confounding. I think The reality is social work is a thankless job and poorly paid and highly stressful.

it just doesn’t attract enough staff and the pay is appalling.

until it’s seen as a real choice for those seeking a profession it will continue to limp along.

i suspect that the real changes will come when (ha!) it’s stops being acceptable for families to live in poverty. The game changer will be when proper education and opportunities for those living in hardship is prioritised and abuse of women and their children is no longer tolerated.

Sillysausagesally · 21/04/2022 21:28

i Cannot get my head around my head around these serious cases in the news. It hurts my heart and shocks me to the core. And I’m a social worker
