I’m just so sad. Why do these dreadful people do this?

I want to breathe the life back into him and take him away from all that pain.

I’m a fairly rubbish parent a lot if the time. But I just can’t conceive of the evil that does this to a poor little child.

I think another part of this is the shattering of family units and the break up of communities. People don’t know each other and have family around in the same way they used to. Cases are easily hidden.

It’s easy to blame social workers or schools. You don’t get to hear about the thousands and thousands of kids and families that are helped or saved by these services… but they will never ever save them all. There are sick and evil parents out there who can easily torture and hide what they do physically, just as they can emotionally.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 22/04/2022 22:47

they all look like the kind of people you’d cross over the street to avoid. But having been subject to an abusive relationship I can only assume these people are very charming when you first meet them.

I think the women in these situations have very low standards.

Even if he was charming you could never allow him beat the DC unless you're evil too.

I think the common factor in these child murders are that both parents/partners are evil.

The innocent DC have no chance. Logan was in the system yet battered to death.

Oh yes absolutely. I mean neither party is innocent in these cases.

One of the greatest tragedies in life is that there are genuine psychopaths amongst us who feel nothing for hurting another human, even their own children (usually due to a combination of genetic disposition and growing up in a terrible environment). It is so alien to most of us, and utterly heartbreaking, but there will always be a tiny minority like this, and their children are utterly doomed. What someone said about the Mother mimicking what she has observed a loving Mother would say is so true. I have no doubt whatsoever that is what she was doing. One of the things that make true psychopaths so charming/attractive/powerful is that they have no qualms whatsoever in saying exactly what the other person wants to hear.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 23/04/2022 00:14

He was a beautiful boy who deserved to be loved.
Any family would have welcomed him. He had a beautiful smile, bastards.

I know lots of parents depend on benefits they do a great job with the DC investing time and love.

However the parents mentioned on this thread done a terrible job and I believe they won't surrender the DC to SS because they'd lose their benefits.

It might be an idea for the government to agree to allow the benefits stay in place for 12 months after the DC is removed/ surrendered might be a crazy idea but could save a life.

It'd weed out some bad parents, no parental responsibility with the benefits.

Never give the DC back to them.

toastofthetown · 23/04/2022 09:39

I’m not sure that’s true. There’s a critical shortage of foster carers and recruitment is below the replacement rate so it’s not getting better in the short term. This is part of the reason (though far from the whole picture) why children remain with their birth families: there are increasing few places to house them when they’ve been removed. It’s easy looking at smiling pictures of murdered children to think that we would have liked to help them, but the reality is that the majority of families are not training to foster children.

LadyTwinkle · 23/04/2022 09:42

@Minimalme & @MayorDusty I'm sorry to hear that you experienced that sort of relationship with your mothers too.

I'm in a Facebook group that's been following the trial, and it really struck me just how many people wanted to believe that AW was innocent despite all the damning evidence against her. If it wasn't for the CCTV footage and internet search history, I'm convinced she would have been found not guilty of murder. Some of the explanations people in the group were giving for the lights turning on and off and curtains opening and closing was practically conspiracy level nonsense. But it just goes to show that some people will point blank refuse to believe that a mother would ever hurt her child.

When girls don’t leave school with no aspiration other than to get pregnant, get a council house, benefits and a succession of ‘dads’ these incidents will decrease. We can never stop all of them because some people (women too) are sadistic bullies but it will stop so many unwanted children suffering.

Merryoldgoat · 23/04/2022 17:41

they make you feel like you’re the only one they let in, that they have a softer side etc. it’s all bullshit of course and the mask slips with time.

This is interesting…

im not interested in people who show different shades of themselves and prefer a more consistent representation.

However I can understand how it could be seductive to some people and might make them feel special.

@roxyro

Do you know lots of women with such little ambition? I don’t know any and didn’t at school either.

I don't know anyone like this. This woman is a horrible evil person but ?? Why are you generalising other teen or young mothers with this monster. You have zero idea whether a girl has been abused, has found a new partner. Unpleasant, outdated and unnecessary.

Ironically, a lot of midwives and children's workers I've met had kids young (some very young as in 14+) and they are all lovely people. Never encountered the kind of person you describe, must be your circle.

Yawn. Get back to your Daily Mail.

Oh yes those type of girls murder their DC all the time, if you multiple teenage pregnancy against child murders. 🙄
The DM in question was privately educated.
Anyone from any background has the potential to do evil things.
There are countless threads on her describing cruel evil abusive parents from all different kinds of backgrounds.
Considering most child murders are men and mostly intelligent cunning men with charisma who get away with it longer and often causes multiple deaths.

Your post is narrow minded.

Maybe the haves could offer the have Not's work experience, take them out of the existence they know and aspire too, instead of accusations there'll be baby killers.

I did this, had my first when i was sa teenager…..
got a council house
i haven’t harmed any of my children, haven’t had a succession of unsuitable partners either.

What you’ve said is Quite an unpleasant generalisation to make really

It's not that easy these days just to leave school ,get pregnant and get a council house .

x2boys · 24/04/2022 15:02

And I live on council estate tbh there are not that many jobless young single mums
My neighbour is only in her early 20,s and has three young children ,but she's still with their father ,and all the kids look clean and well fed
It's a massive generalisation to make .

Absolutely, the days of getting a council house easily are long gone. I'm a single mum and did not get a council house! The only people I know living in a council house is a couple with 2 kids both working full time.

All 3 given life sentences. Minimums of 29, 28 and 15. RIP Logan.

I am so sad about this case...That poor little boy. Nothing will bring him back but I hope they never see daylight again. Seeing his video for happy times, then followed by that cctv footage where those bastards are bringing his body out. That so-called mother, who tried to deceive the police....Do you think the father could have done a bit more to protect his child? I don't know the details but have read that they haven't seen each other for a long time...

RobynNora · 30/06/2022 17:02

@tralalom his dad was denied custody, I read.

It’s all too sad for words. The step dad was described by family as incredibly racist so it was also racial abuse. I just cried reading the details and had to stop. It’s unimaginable what that poor little lad had to endure. He’s been so let down.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/06/2022 17:33

The teenage boy has been named. He's Logan's stepson.

Gingernaut · 30/06/2022 17:48

Craig Mulligan declared his hated of Logan, told people he wanted Logan dead and was described as 'pure evil' by his foster carers.

What on earth possessed social services to return him to the household?

From bbc timeline ..

2019: Contact between Logan and his father resumes. In April, Williamson takes Logan to visit. This was the last time Mr Mwangi saw Logan, as Williamson was in a relationship with Cole and was preventing access
