I’m just so sad. Why do these dreadful people do this?

I want to breathe the life back into him and take him away from all that pain.

I’m a fairly rubbish parent a lot if the time. But I just can’t conceive of the evil that does this to a poor little child.

@RobynNora

I had a rare night alone with my boys tonight and couldn’t let them go so we cuddled on the sofa chatting and playing until bed time. They drive me mad but god they’re precious.

It’s truly distressing what people will allow to happen to their children.

It's such an upsetting case. I can't comprehend how it must have felt for the police who discovered his broken little body. Desperately sad and utterly harrowing.

Where was his father in all this? And any other family? Neighbours? Anyone? 😥

RobynNora · 30/06/2022 23:25

That’s heartbreaking, @WisteriaLodge. I’m crying again now. If only we could reverse time, scoop him up and remove him from those people. Rest peacefully little Logan.

longtompot · 30/06/2022 23:25

These cases are all largely the same, which is that the mother very quickly moves in a man/woman who is violent or has a history of the same

Or not even people who have a history of violence. Just having partners move in far too quickly. There was a post on here recently where the poster didn't understand why her family, and most of the people posting, didn't think it was a good idea to have someone move in with her and her kids, who she had really only just met and had no idea about what they were really like. I've read so many posts about women who were love bombed by their new partners, and just when they relaxed, their partners showed their true colours.

I wish this little boy had lived with his father. If his mum and partner and the teen hated him so much, why didn't they let him do that? RIP Logan💐

I am heartbroken, this seems to be happening so much at the moment. The case of Arthur broke me... poor children
Why do people do it, why oh why 😪

Sadly the average is about 1 child per week killed by neglect or abuse in the uk.

theyhavenothingbuttheaudacity · 30/06/2022 23:27

Me too, poor little sausage, he looked such a sweet boy, I don't know why but the dinosaur and Spiderman clothes broke me, I think it's the innocence amongst all that evil

That's what really got me. Similar to what my 6 year old would be dressed in. The difference is he has all the love affection and protection in the world. Someone only has to tell him off a bit too sternly and I want to rip them to pieces. This adorable boy should have had every bit of that love in his life.
I'm absolutely appalled by women who know what these men are like and stand by them. People will obviously say well she was prob scared of him but I would literally take a bullet to stop anyone else harming a hair on my childrens head

Animals don’t treat their babies like that

To be fair many species do sometimes eat their young!

Mariposista · 30/06/2022 23:31

When I read he had been locked in his room and forced to do press ups my heart broke. That sweet innocent little boy, he didn’t stand a chance.

I know, it so awful isn't it, I just can't get, and never will get how a woman puts her boyfriend over her child, it's so unnatural and alien to me.

Unbelievable if it is true as reported that Williamson fought for custody (together with Cole) for Mulligan. He wasn’t related to either of them, he was Cole’s ex partners son. He’d only moved in 5 days before Logan was murdered. She must have known about what happened at his foster parents and that they had asked for him to be removed or they wouldn’t have gone to court for him to be allowed to live with them. Was it for extra benefits money I wonder?

Shocking is an understatement that a court gave them custody after their SS involvement. Knowing his behavioural background at the foster carers and that they had two young children. SS had only ended involvement with them a month before.

She fought for someone else’s kid and allowed him to murder/participate in the murder of her own!

A 13 year old boy who could slam the head of a little kid less than half his size (Logan weighed 3 stone) on the floor after seeing him be punched by an adult man, say he wanted to kill him and after knowing he was dead say punching little kids made him orgasmic, help dump that little boys body in bin bags in a river, then go back to check if his body had sunk, is pure fucking EVIL same as James Bulger’s torturers and murderers. There is nothing in his background, even if he was even abused himself, that could give him a ‘reason’ for what he did.

I just can’t get over that after all they did to him. they dumped him in bin bags in a cold river on his own. The mother watching them do it! With most of the other recent cases like this, the poor children were taken to hospital or an ambulance called. They dumped him a fucking river to try to save themselves with a ridiculous story than anyone would have seen through even without the CCTV especially as they were too stupid to weigh his body down properly. Just fucking why!

ZoeCM · 30/06/2022 23:47

A small boy dying from abuse that was partly racially-motivated. What the fuck kind of world is this?

LovinglifeAF · 30/06/2022 23:49

It is absolutely heartbreaking. That poor little sweetheart. What wicked people. How can this keep happening ?

there was an article on the BBC website speaking to one of the jurors which made pretty heartbreaking reading as well

Horological · 30/06/2022 23:57

I completely agree with what someone said earlier about people believing mothers who say they love their children. It really is easy to say you love someone.

I would go far as to say that I am often suspicious of people who declare love for their children. Surely it should go without saying? Of course all normal parents love their children. My parents never told me they loved me but I never doubted it for a minute because they cared attentively for us and enjoyed being with us. I don't think I've ever told my children I love them either, but I would be very surprised if they didn't know it because of the things I do for them and with them. Saying you love someone is no proof at all that you do. That goes for partners as well. My DH doesn't need to say it because it's really clear that he does.

CarrieMoonbeams · 01/07/2022 08:52

Sadly - well, going by my personal childhood experience anyway - I'm sure they'll have kept him because they WANTED to abuse him. Rotten bastards.

RudsyFarmer · 01/07/2022 08:59

I don’t think we can call a 13 year old ‘pure evil’. The child will be a product of the upbringing he received from feckless parents. And why do women go for abusive men? Often because these are the men they had modelled for them in their formative years or else they have addiction issues which damage their self worth and think it’s all they deserve.

LakieLady · 01/07/2022 10:13

But as it turns out one thing that wasn't mentioned during the trial was just how much of a massive racist John Cole is. So much so he was even a member of the national front at one point and referred to Logan by the derogatory term 'coco pop' it's clear now that John Coles treatment of Logan was in part down to Logan's mixed heritage.

I agree with this, and think that he should have got a harsher sentence because it amounts to a hate crime.

Every time I see cases like this I wonder why the 'adults' weren't honest enough to say, "I'm a risk to this child and they need to be taken away." I look at that poor little boy and all I want to do is scream I would have taken him in. I don't have much but I, like so many people, could have given him love and a safe place to be. He was the same as my daughter, poor baby.

Unbelievable that the Social Worker dismissed the teen’s language and behaviour as banter. The foster parents are reported as having many years experience, fostered 80 kids and this is the only time they’ve had to ask for a child to be removed.
I wonder if Cole pushing for him through the family court was a control thing? The teen seems to adore him, did his bidding and maybe just Cole , or Cole and Williamson together, saw the teen as someone they could control to do their bidding?
I read Cole and Williamson had a baby together , surely they won’t ever be allowed access to him/ her? They’ll be adopted, name changed ?
it’s chilling to hear the teen talk in interview, so cold, so detached.

When girls don’t leave school with no aspiration other than to get pregnant, get a council house, benefits and a succession of ‘dads’ these incidents will decrease. We can never stop all of them because some people (women too) are sadistic bullies but it will stop so many unwanted children suffering.

Oh Nice
Let's pick on the Working Class
Have you missed the part where this so called "Mother" was from Money and went to Private Schools ??

LakieLady · 01/07/2022 10:48

ZebraInaTeapot · 24/04/2022 12:02

I did this, had my first when i was sa teenager…..
got a council house
i haven’t harmed any of my children, haven’t had a succession of unsuitable partners either.

What you’ve said is Quite an unpleasant generalisation to make really

Angela Rayner had her first child when she was 16.

She seems to have done ok.

fUNNYfACE36 · 01/07/2022 11:20

I don't know know enough detail to be able to unpick this case, decades of underfunding public services- social services ,mental health services, education, is a big contributory factor in this type of thing.Things are not being properly followed up when warning signs are spotted

the80sweregreat · 01/07/2022 11:52

Maybe social services are too just too scared to take action ? Many many years ago children were taken from their parents for all kinds of reasons and that was seen as wrong too : now it's gone the other way. I haven't got the answers at all , people are good at being deceitful and playing the game. Anyone who can allow such abuse will be very good at pulling the wool and making people believe all sorts of things. It's been said about all the recent cases that the parents knew how to make it seem they were doing their best and looking after the children , all completely false.
It is sad and horrible and too many children are dying. Something has gone very wrong somewhere.
