I have ploughman’s sandwich, steak McCoys and a sprite (Tesco)

Not sure why not having a meal deal is such an issue.

It's not, but coming on a thread for people to discuss their favourite meal deals to brag about it is.

There's always one I suppose.

MintyFreshBreath · 13/03/2022 21:55

Beef and horseradish sandwich, sweet chilli crisps and apple juice.

Fairislefandango · 13/03/2022 21:57

I don't do meal deals - I'm either at home for lunch or I take a homemade lunch. But if I were having a meal deal I'd have a coronation chicken sandwich /wrap, cheese and onion crisps and a bottle of still water (don't like fizzy drinks - well, except beer, prosecco, champagne and g&t Grin).

millytint44 · 13/03/2022 21:57

Chicken salad sub roll, Innocent smoothie, grab bag quavers. Tesco.

Isseywith3witchycats · 13/03/2022 21:58

dont need the drink ( got my own kettle etc) but an almond croissant and an egg mayo sandwich from tescos dosent break the bank

TheDoveFromAboveCooCoo · 13/03/2022 21:59

Morrisons salmon and cream cheese sandwich, 2 boiled eggs and a sparkling water please!

DockOTheBay · 13/03/2022 22:00

@mongoosebaby

Am I the only tight arse who chooses the 3 most expensive things they have that day??
You're not the only one!

Usually it ends up being a hoisin duck wrap, chicken satay skewers and innocent smoothie. Its called fusion food Grin

RedRec · 13/03/2022 22:01

Chicken salad sandwich, Walker's cheese and onion 'Baked' crisps and an orange juice. From the Co-op.

Pegasussnail · 13/03/2022 22:02

I love a Cajun wrap or a chicken and stuffing sandwich. I love hula hoops. Drink would be a diet coke.

Lampface · 13/03/2022 22:04

Sweet chilli chicken wrap, chocolate graze flapjack and an innocent smoothie (usually the berry one)

Plumbmonster · 13/03/2022 22:04

Just out of interest, if you could afford it would you buy one of these every day?

DD does, she says it’s the norm where she works but it seems pretty calorific to have every day (luckily she can eat what she wants and not gain an ounce). I’d gain a few lbs a week if I ate one per day

ouch321 · 13/03/2022 22:05

Smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich

Mccoys

Pepsi max

Rupertgrintismyguiltypleasure · 13/03/2022 22:05

Chicken and stuffing sandwich, max cheese and onion crisps and an oasis from sainsburys... mainly because it’s literally right next door to work.

Taswama · 13/03/2022 22:08

Boots for me

Sushi or BLT
Smoothie or cloudy apple juice
Mini millionaires shortbread

silkypillows · 13/03/2022 22:08

Chicken Caesar wrap, salt and vinegar McCoy's and a Diet Coke 🤤

AdditionalCharacter · 13/03/2022 22:09

Onion bhaji wrap, walkers paprika max crisps, cherry Coke Zero

Or

Chilli chicken noodle salad, samosa, 7 Up

jelly79 · 13/03/2022 22:09

@Plumbmonster seriously? A sandwich / crisp / drink!??

Bluemonkey2029 · 13/03/2022 22:10

I used to love a feta and semi dried tomato pasta, fridge raiders chicken bites and diet coke. Or a Morrisons salad box but alas now gluten free. There is such a market for a decent gluten free meal deal (not just one sandwich) I reckon based on a few comments on this thread.

Clevs · 13/03/2022 22:10

Tesco Express meal deal for £3:
Main: Either a chicken club, BLT or prawn mayonnaise sandwich. Occasionally the prawn layered salad.
Drink: Coconut water.
Side: Either pineapple sticks, Scotch egg, egg pot or carrots & hummus.

Gingerkittykat · 13/03/2022 22:12

Tesco

All day breakfast sandwich or the cheese triple pack.
Either the coconut water or a smoothie.
I was buying the flamegrilled chicken side and giving it to my cat but when they don't have it I will just grab something random and save it for later.

Fairislefandango · 13/03/2022 22:13

Just out of interest, if you could afford it would you buy one of these every day?

No. I could afford it, but I'd get bored with eating sandwiches every day tbh. Nothing to do with the calories. I expect I'd eat a similar amount of calories if I were bringing lunch from home.

Hooveslikejagger · 13/03/2022 22:16

Pesto pasta pot, protein bar, innocent fruit drink

Grasping · 13/03/2022 22:19

At £3 in Tesco, they’re great value, although I suspect the price will increase soon.

I share one with my Mum 😊

Clevs · 13/03/2022 22:20

@AdditionalCharacter

Onion bhaji wrap, walkers paprika max crisps, cherry Coke Zero

Or

Chilli chicken noodle salad, samosa, 7 Up

That's sounds interesting, where's it from?
Plumbmonster · 13/03/2022 22:22

Seriously, menopause has meant that I cannot eat a sandwich and crisps for lunch every day as much as I’d love to. I just kept gaining weight. I’ve had to make up a salad box every day for lunch, no bread etc and only then I just manage to maintain my weight.
It’s sickening
