Tuna pasta, fruit smoothie, quavers.

Foxglovesandlilacs86 · 13/03/2022 21:24

I like the egg, tomato and salad cream sandwiches from M&S, I bought one by accident once (picked it up thinking it was my old usual Wensleydale cheese and carrot chutney) and I love them now.

Also have a smoothie and a Turkish delight bar. I usually get those little pots with the prawns and the sweet chilli sauce in too Grin and I eat it all!

Bewareoftherabbits · 13/03/2022 21:25

Pesto and mozzarella wrap, mini cheddars and pepsi max

DorothyZbornakIsAQueen · 13/03/2022 21:26

If I do have to buy a sandwich I just buy a sandwich and a loose apple from the fruit and veg section. Tap water in my water bottle

All whilst wearing a hair shirt I suppose 🙄

I have a blt, cheese and onion McCoy's and a lipton lemon tea.

I've never had a Meal Deal as I'm either wfh or take a packed lunch and have always done.

I now feel that I've been missing out on the frisson of excitement that could be afforded from choosing my lunch at lunchtime.

Gotajobthrunepotism · 13/03/2022 21:28

Cheese ploughmans, crisps and smoothie. I then half each of the sandwiches and have one part Monday to Thursday and 3 crisps each.
On the Friday I have the smoothie and the remainder of the crisps.

It makes me so full that I don’t need breakfast or lunch, and don’t need to eat at all at the weekend

JayAlfredPrufrock · 13/03/2022 21:30

Egg and cress butty
Walkers plain crisps (to be put on the butty)
Diet Coke.

babywalker56 · 13/03/2022 21:30

Not at all. I find the sandwiches sickly in the main, have never bothered with fizzy drinks or crisps. Definitely wouldn't feel the need to load 6-700 calories at lunchtime ..... just because.

Not sure why not having a meal deal is such an issue.

rc22 · 13/03/2022 21:30

Egg and bacon sandwich, salt and vinegar McCoys and either a sprite/7 up for myself or I kindly get a lucozade and save it to give DH later. Tesco.

Anonymous42178 · 13/03/2022 21:30

Now I'm starving and craving a tesco meal deal!

Cocolapew · 13/03/2022 21:32

I used to get the sushi from Tesco but haven't seen it for ages, so egg, bacon and sausage triple sandwiches, Sensation crisps, diet coke.

purplecorkheart · 13/03/2022 21:32

I used to get a pasta salad with a water/diet coke and the salted crips (out of the three crisp snack options) until I noticed that they sell a similar but way nicer pasta salad that is marginally smaller for a quarter of the price but not displayed near lunch deals. I was only picking up the water (that tastes oily) and crisp I did not eat, as it was only a few cent more that the lunch deal pasta salad on its own.

justlonelystars · 13/03/2022 21:34

Sainsburys - mozzarella and tomato wrap or smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwich
Thai sweet chilli chicken mccoys (if they have them) or walkers prawn cocktail
Ribena light

sparklefarts · 13/03/2022 21:35

Chicken bacon and stuffing sandwich
Cheese and onion or steak mccoys
Cherry Pepsi max

Yes I'm fat.

Bornsloppy · 13/03/2022 21:39

Tesco: prawn mayo sandwich, walkers Thai sweet chilli crisps, apple juice
Gregg's: tuna crunch roll, salt & vinegar crisps, raspberry lemonade
M&S: brie & grape sandwich, salted popcorn, old fashioned lemonade. I always get a bakery cookie too.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 13/03/2022 21:42

Why comment on a meal deal thread if you don’t buy a meal deal ?

VioletOcean · 13/03/2022 21:42

Most expensive sarnie, drink, fruit.. get more for my money that way

rc22 · 13/03/2022 21:43

I find Meal Deals very strange. I'm a chocoholic and in any other situation I would always choose a chocolate bar over crisps. However, with a meal deal, it HAS to be crisps. I never even look at the sweet stuff!!!

cuno · 13/03/2022 21:45

I always get hoisin duck wrap and a Pepsi Max. I'm not fussed about the side, usually pick something for my partner or daughter.

hangrylady · 13/03/2022 21:47

Cheese and onion sandwich, salt and vinegar walkers, which are added into the sandwich and a ribena. Posh Grin

QweenBea · 13/03/2022 21:47

In Aldi you can buy 3 sandwiches for the meal deal

smoothieooo · 13/03/2022 21:50

I had my first meal deal lunch from Boots last week - I popped in to get a gluten free cheese and tomato sandwich (£3.15) then realised I could also get a smoothie and a g/f cereal bar for a total of £3.99 so it seemed like a no-brainer!

HeadacheEarthquake · 13/03/2022 21:50

I never get them, I'm on a diet plan but if I could go for any thing i wanted, chicken caeser wrap, salt and vinager walkers and a liptons ice tea

MorrisZapp · 13/03/2022 21:50

@SunshineLollipopsAndRainbows

I have just discovered Tescos smoked ham & egg sandwich ( sliced egg rather than egg mayo) & it’s absolutely delicious & so well filled, which some bought sandwiches aren’t. Usually have Walkers ready salted crisps & a Coppella or similar apple juice.
It's the absolute best sandwich! But rare. If I ever see it in stock, I grab it.
