Is the UK in danger from Russia?

Keep receiving conflicting information. I am sick to my stomach and quite simply hate the unknown. So a simple question - is it likely that the UK will be in danger from Russia? And if so what does that look like? Cyber attacks, bombs being dropped?

read up on it....no conflicting information if you look at the facts

putin is a sick man, not done much with his presidency really....looks like he wants to make his mark, maybe he's sick/dying with nothing to lose

he's made himself crystal clear....try and stop him, there will be strong consequences....like the world has never seen before he said. now, what could that mean?

I don't think so. But I also don't think the rest of the world is prepared to intervene beyond arming Ukranians, it's just not worth enough to them sadly for the Ukranian people. This is basically why the EU didn't want to admit Ukraine, as its leaders knew Putin would invade and they didn't want to deal with that.

In fairness if he even had a plan to disrupt the internet that would be pretty significant, we're so reliant nowadays, not just to use Mumsnet but for all sorts of infrastructure.

Long covid is absolutely a thing, and I have every sympathy for those struggling with it. This however is a thread about the atrocities happening in Ukraine. They are two totally different things and shouldn't be compared.

Don’t be ridiculous. Highly likely, what are you on about! That would cause a retaliation that would wipe the world out, you can’t reign over ashes. He’s just flexing his muscles as he’s been allowed to stretch them for too long without rebuke. I don’t think it’s going the way he wanted though, have you seen the St Petersburg demonstrations?

(Hope, btw that your concern for the people in Ukraine is extended to those suffering in Yemen, Ethiopia, Syria, and other conflict torn regions).
