Me and DP both do it, and ours resolved to different answers today ! I would have got his answer in 3, and he would have got mine in 3 ! Have seen reports of the ‘split site’ problem, in addition my answer was unfairly vague I think, anyone else perplexed this morning ? On a serious note, it’s given us plenty to talk about, though my brain is a bit tired 😁

Are you aure you are using the "official" site? The New York Times one powerlanguage?

IsaLating · 15/02/2022 11:56

sure....

highlighta · 15/02/2022 11:59

Wait... What?

Because I am on a whatsapp group where we share our scores. One person said she got the word, but had never heard it before.... had to google it!

I was quite perplexed as I thought it a common word.

So she may very well have had a different word to mine??

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 15/02/2022 12:00

All three in this house got the same word...

WhatAHexIGotInto · 15/02/2022 12:01

She may be on the wrong site @highlighta? It's a really common word.

Couchto5ktowine · 15/02/2022 12:01

Yep there are two answers today; one a common word. The other (the one I got grrr) I had never heard of. Apparently it’s something to do with the NY Times move: if you access it through them Rather than the original site you get the “easier” word.

MoltenLasagne · 15/02/2022 12:02

I got the word in 4 guesses but to me it's a Greek word not an English one. I googled because I wanted to see if anyone else thought the same and then discovered there were two words today!

BeMoreGoldfish · 15/02/2022 12:03

Yes one common English word and one Green word! Grin

DappledThings · 15/02/2022 12:05

I'm intrigued. I've done it, DH is stuck but from what he's got so far he's heading to the same answer as me. Not a particularly unusual word

DropYourSword · 15/02/2022 12:06

I must have had the standard word because there's no way I'd need to Google it!!
Took me 5 to get it though, I'm definitely losing my touch

BobHadBitchTits · 15/02/2022 12:07

I'd never heard of my word today.

Donatella · 15/02/2022 12:08

Like someone else said, it's to do with the website you are on. If it still says powerlanguage.co.uk you get the Greek word, if it says nytimes.com you get the easier one. Both are the 'official' one but there is a glitch of some kind

AlDanvers · 15/02/2022 12:08

I want to know the other word!! The one I got is not one I would call a 'greek' word. So I must have the other.

MoltenLasagne · 15/02/2022 12:08

www.powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/ gives the Greek word, if it redirects to the nytimes site it gives the easy English one...

Plumpcious · 15/02/2022 12:08

I've just tried it on the NYT site and entered the word that was on the Powerlanguage site this morning, and it's the same word. Was there a glitch that's been fixed or are many people just not familiar with the word?

Iggly · 15/02/2022 12:09

I tried to access both via the NYT and powerlanguage to check and they end up showing me the game I’ve played today. So I’m not sure what difference there is.

DappledThings · 15/02/2022 12:11

@Donatella

If I go to the powerlanguage link it just redirects to NY Times. So if I now go to either powerlanguage.co.uk/wordle/ or www.nytimes.com/games/wordle/index.html it shows me the same thing, my progress to today's word which wasn't an unusual one. Can anyone link to the Greek one?
Blackberrybunnet · 15/02/2022 12:12

not today's word, but fairly p*ed off abut the US spelling the other day

Donatella · 15/02/2022 12:12

They may have fixed the glitch, there were definitely two words this morning as I got a different one to my daughter, and several other people have reported getting different words to their partners.

AledsiPad · 15/02/2022 12:12

I've just followed the link through powerlanguage above... it was the exact same word as via the NYT link I accessed this morning. It's a perfectly normal, average word. Nothing difficult or greek about it. Confused

hugr · 15/02/2022 12:12

Can someone just say the Greek word lol?

RainingYetAgain · 15/02/2022 12:12

I accessed both sites and its the same word on both

IsolaPribby · 15/02/2022 12:12

I've just used the power language link posted above, and it's the same normal English word....

AppleKatie · 15/02/2022 12:13

Interesting! I got the Greek work in 3 (fluke!!)

DappledThings · 15/02/2022 12:13

@hugr

Can someone just say the Greek word lol?
Yes please, especially if it is no longer accessible so can't be a spoiler for anyone!
