Phone dropped in the North Sea? Everything 'unfortunately' wiped from devices?

YABU - those things really were totally coincidental that happened just after they were told to hand them in

Team Rooney here too. She set out to find out who was leaking stories about her to the press, and did so in quite a conclusive and clever way. Vardy really should have apologised or slunk quietly away, not taken legal action for libel. I don't see that as six of one and half a dozen of another. Now her pr's phone is in the Irish Sea and what records are available are pretty damning. Idiot.

I'm no Colleen Rooney fan but this update is amazing. Vardy has been playing for sympathy and acting innocent when she really is vile.
So her agent's phone got dropped in the North Sea just after the records were requested.
Her husband's WhatsApp was hacked.
Her WhatsApp messages were all deleted (including backups) when she tried to send the data.
Their laptop was broken and unusable.

As a lawyer I would love to know how Coleen’s team got hold of the dodgy “deleted” messages from the agent! RV’s position is very “the dog ate my homework”, isn’t it?!

I know this is about a load of overprivileged dickheads but in this I do feel a bit sorry for Colleen.

For whatever insane reason, she's chosen to stay with her drunk, cheating, loser husband who has shown such huge disrespect to her. People are selling stories all over the place. She probably desperately needs people around her that she can trust.

Apparently, according to an article in yesterday’s Graun, some more messages were “accidentally” deleted while they were being sent to a solicitor as requested, another phone lost messages which failed to back up, and a computer with yet more evidence on it “no longer functions”.

That’s quite a staggering number of unfortunate and no doubt completely accidental incidents for one couple to experience, isn’t it?

Mind you, after all the shitty news, I’m hugely enjoying a good celeb scandal Grin

Totally agree. Everyone is going to call them 'two very silly women' etc but CR called it out in the right place... she accused her on Instagram. She didn't drag lawyers and the courts into it.

I saw yesterday some of the written arguments questioning whether CR had a right to expect privacy. I thought this missed the point, presumably CR knew she didn't have a legal right to privacy after posting on Instagram which is why didn't sue and did just outed her.
