Spoke to DH about this tonight and he said ‘it’s not all men though is it?’

He’s right. It’s not all men. But I have experienced so much shit that wouldn’t be accepted nowadays (not tragic shit but just not acceptable)

At 19 my drink was drugged with rohypnol in the local night club, thankfully I didn’t drink it as it tasted ‘sour’. It was caught on CCTV. The man was banned for 2 weeks. 2 weeks!!!

I’ve taken the tube and had men put their hands on my butt/legs etc with me trying to move away. I didn’t shout, I should have!

None of these are awful stories but it just goes to show that when people say it’s not all men...but it is most women.

One in four women expereince domestic abuse by the age of 50. 1 in 7 in the past 12 months. Such a small amount of men in multiply relationship at the dame time abusing women, or more men are abusive then men will admit? And lets remember that figure is reported cases.

Not all men...but a woman is victim blamed for being stupid if she is attacked. So we expect a woman to trust men, but not trust men, at the same time.

Not all men...but what was she doing wearing that outfit/drinking so much/out so late?

@KookaburraSits. That's shocking, especially when bouncer's are paid to keep everyone safe.

It's terrible really as it's so ingrained. I watched 'Many Saints of Newark' last night as I quite like mob films and the Sopranos. But as I get older I find these things less entertaining as none of the wives/girlfriends ever escape a beating, humiliation or some kind of BS. Mob films aren't the only ones either.

Kit Harrington mentions this briefly in the Guardian today and we definitely need to sort this out as male anger/violence is a massive problem.

What's the solution with these kinds of men though. Public execution would be my preference but appreciate this isn't a serious option. I feel like I'd want to flatten that guy (as a polite conversation just won't cut it) but isn't male violence or ALL kinds what we're looking to stop?
