To ask what cutlery you eat cake with?

Dh thinks it doesn't matter what cutlery you use. It does, it's a fork! A spoon is for soup and ice cream.

I cannot enjoy my cake using a spoon, it's not right.
Chocolate fudge cake incase anyone's interested Grin

The man’s a fool.

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 26/01/2022 22:33

Fingers!

Or fork. DD’s friend once asked for a cake fork!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 26/01/2022 22:33

A little fork. One of the really tiny cake forks. Makes me feel fancy when I'm stuffing my face.

CaroleFuckingBaskin · 26/01/2022 22:34

Cake fork

RenGreen · 26/01/2022 22:34

Cake fork or fingers does the job

TwinkleToesStrikesAgain · 26/01/2022 22:34

A case fork.

Who uses a spoon? Is there such a thing as a cake spoon? I don't think so...

TheGriffle · 26/01/2022 22:34

Always a fork!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/01/2022 22:34

Cake fork

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 26/01/2022 22:34

A cake fork.

Unless its served with custard. Then its a spoon.

Sartre · 26/01/2022 22:34

Depends on the cake. Some cake is too crumbly and flimsy for a fork so I’d use a spoon. Also depends whether it’s just cake or cake and custard for example, that obviously requires a spoon!

ponkydonkey · 26/01/2022 22:34

We have cake forks ,,,, for occasions
But other wise a spoon 😀

TiffanyIceberg · 26/01/2022 22:35

comfortablyfrumpy · 26/01/2022 22:35

GrowThroughWhatYouGoThrough · 26/01/2022 22:35

PurplePansy05 · 26/01/2022 22:35

Cake fork. DH uses a spoon, I still find it odd after a decade together Grin

Davros · 26/01/2022 22:36

Fork. I had chocolate fudge cake today, fork and napkin (never serviette!)

MrsRobinsonsHandprints · 26/01/2022 22:36

Cake forks are handed, we have left and right handed forks. A normal fork is nearly as bad as a spoon.

JudgeJ · 26/01/2022 22:37

@TwinkleToesStrikesAgain

A fork for the fudge cake and maybe you'll need a spoon for the ice cream melted on the warm fudge cake. Waste not, want not every time.
MamaWeasel · 26/01/2022 22:37

A cake fork

Doyoumind · 26/01/2022 22:37

Fingers Fork

MsAgnesDiPesto · 26/01/2022 22:37

Cake without anything else - pastry fork.

Cake with cream - spoon.

Cake eaten alone - fingers.

StrawberrySquash · 26/01/2022 22:38

A fork. The curve of a spoon is all wrong.

JudgeJ · 26/01/2022 22:38

Where do you get left handed cake forks, I really struggle using a right handed cake fork?
cakedebate · 26/01/2022 22:38

Is the experience better with a cake fork? I don't own one but perhaps I should buy one! Dh sat and happily ate his cake with a spoon Hmm

Cake fork, unless cake is accompanied by cream or ice cream, then spoon.
