Settles down with popcorn... 🍿

Hawkins001 · 21/01/2022 23:00

It's certainly been intriguing with some of the points and perspectives

Hawkins001 · 21/01/2022 23:01

Although does anyone consider that it could be Boris being setup with regards to certain events ?

The next few days will be very interesting. Wragg going to the police. The publication of the Gray report. The possibility that Cummings has more to lob into the mix.

I suspect Cummings is biding his time for the Gray report, and more will come out at that point.

Hawkins001 · 21/01/2022 23:15

Cummings, is hardly an angel too,

Trilley · 21/01/2022 23:18

No-one believes he is, but he knows where an awful lot of bodies are buried.

Blossomtoes · 21/01/2022 23:19

The last time Westminster was this interesting was July 2019 when Johnson decided it was a good idea to prorogue Parliament and kicked every MP with more than two brain cells out of the party. He just loves chaos, doesn’t he?

Youngatheart00 · 21/01/2022 23:19

I’ll admit I voted for him. But it’s now time for him to go, he’s lost all credibility. I heard him described as the turd that won’t flush!!

So we are lead to believe,
VikingOnTheFridge · 21/01/2022 23:22

Wonder if the Met will manage to take any time out of their busy rape schedule to actually investigate this.

Depends on what they were really upto,

Snorted at this. They really aren't looking good, are they Angry
Blossomtoes · 21/01/2022 23:24

It doesn’t depend on anything. It’s chaos right now.

But surely nothing that he has done can really be a surprise to anyone who supported him? It is not as though he was some sort of pristine character prior to the 2019 election.

There is always a lot of spinning going on, I would believe very little of any of it.

I’m not in the uk so know nothing about the parties, but if the party believe the public have turned against the leader, he will be hung out to dry to save the party.

It would be nice if you had a good alternative to vote in, but that (to my very simple mind) appears to be the problem, I think you need another new party.

Only from the narrative that's carried by the papers, all we know it's what the papers write, unless we had primary sources embedded with various positions across the government and cabinet ect, then all we have is secondary and third hand, ect narratives, of what's what
Peregrina · 21/01/2022 23:29

Mines a cuppa tea and a sandwich

I'm confused. Does that make it work or a party?

ClaudineClare · 21/01/2022 23:32

We have to have a suitcase of wine to make it a work meeting, I think?

@Hawkins001 when the Torygraph, with all its close relationships in the government, is putting the boot in I feel inclined to believe what it tells me. Particularly when nobody’s denying it.

NinaDefoe · 21/01/2022 23:36

Oh good! A new thread!

There will be no downfall. Yes, he may lose his job but BJ is a very rich man and he will continue to live his very privileged life very nicely.
Unaffected personally.Unscathed.

More’s the pity.

Peregrina · 21/01/2022 23:37

If it's just due to the narrative by the papers, why didn't we hear of constant alcohol fuelled beanos in Gordon Brown's time as PM? Would that be because they didn't happen or that no one believed that a dour Scot could sanction parties, but they know damn well that Johnson can and would?
