I just think that’s very convenient is it all made up to garner sympathy. Can’t trust anything that’s said in regard to BoJo !

OP posts:
Roussette · 20/01/2022 08:00

What a convenient story to distract and try and get sympathy. Not sure I believe it.

Operation Big Dog has turned into Operation Desperate Dog.

hivemindneeded · 20/01/2022 08:03

@RaskolnikovsGarret

Surely he wouldn’t lie about that? He’s an appalling liar, but surely even he would have some limits…?? Maybe that’s why the Press went a bit quiet during that period. If it’s not true, it’s a disgrace.
He has no limits.

I have been saying this for decades. Not a word from his mouth can be trusted. It may happen to be true just like a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, but he won't be saying it because it is true, only because it is convenient to him in the moment. He doesn;t know the meaning or value of truth.

Wonnle · 20/01/2022 08:06

Sorry but i just don't care !

He's a lying gobshite full stop .

ThinWomansBrain · 20/01/2022 08:06

@AsYouWishButtercup

A bit like how the good news of her birth came just after the Christmas party scandal. All very convenient
d'you think she even exists? they didn't just borrow a prop baby to deflect from partygate/workmeetinggate?
Wonnle · 20/01/2022 08:08

PS what happened to all that money we supposedly paying the EU ?
Something like £50 million a day wasn't it Boris

Roussette · 20/01/2022 08:08

IF it's true, why is he releasing this information to the public? It's a private matter.

Operation Dog's Breakfast... let's try and make Johnson a sympathy figure.

Disgusting to use your child like this

Alexandra2001 · 20/01/2022 08:08

@Sparklingbrook

Every time Boris does anything a thread will start and the Boris bashing commences. You may as well have one long thread or a daily ‘Let’s bash Boris’ thread. No reason why required. Grin
Well, if he didn't keep doing awful things, there wouldn't be these threads would there?

The rules are "if boostered, no need to isolate" He isolated purely to avoid scrutiny, hardly the mark of a great leader.

NHS website says Babies are at very low risk from Covid.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 20/01/2022 08:09

Not surprised the baby was ill with them both being so feckless in regard to Covid. Doesn’t make me being sympathetic to him, on the contrary.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 20/01/2022 08:10

Operation Big Dog’s Massive Poo

Sparklingbrook · 20/01/2022 08:12

Well, if he didn't keep doing awful things, there wouldn't be these threads would there?

We’ll one long thread would be better TBF. I think most have their ‘go to’ Boris comments ready to C&P at every and any opportunity Grin

PinkTonic · 20/01/2022 08:12

Support him all you like, no one wishes anything but the best for any baby but the reality is Johnson is not fit to be PM and family ill health doesn't change that

The two things are separate

But not on this thread seemingly, where many people appear to have lost all capacity for rational thought in their haste to pour vitriol.

Cocomarine · 20/01/2022 08:15

@Fupoffyagrasshole

Even if she does - big deal - everyone had bloody covid at this stage - 🤦‍♀️
Yep. It’s a big deal for the individual - no big deal for anyone else. Is he lying? Probably not because it’s so likely. Would he lie? Of course he would. It doesn’t make any difference to anything. He’s still a morally bankrupt embarrassing shitshow.
user1471519931 · 20/01/2022 08:16

@SlyAvocado

Did she aye.
Grin
LakieLady · 20/01/2022 08:18

*He has lied about everything else so I don't see why not. There's no bar too low.

He is devoid of scruples*

This.

I wouldn't trust him to tell me the time.

Landof · 20/01/2022 08:19

I don't believe them but also I don't see why the poor child's medical details are being shared to the world. No privacy.

Unsure33 · 20/01/2022 08:20

@MeanderingGently

I find the nastiness on this thread quite shocking. OK, so some people don't like Boris but the fact that his baby daughter has been quite ill with COVID deserves sympathy.

I hate the constant griping and moaning over the PM, the media have conducted a despicable campaign against him. I have generally kept off the threads asking whether anyone would vote for him again, as I don't want to be accused of being 'goady', but quite honestly, enough is enough.

There are some people who still support him, and believe he generally has done his best despite some mistakes....I am one of them. Everyone has their own opinion, but to hear the accusations and name-calling regarding a time which must have been difficult for the family, is bloody dreadful.

I agree and twisting statements as well . They never said children were NEVER going to get ill . They said risk was very small . Plus that was at the time of different variants . The figures were always clear and shown to us all. Your chances of being seriously ill and possibly dying per age group .

At that stage we did not have this variant , and then everything changed because of transmission rates.

It’s funny how posters do exactly the same thing they are accusing him of .

TheHuntingoftheSnark · 20/01/2022 08:20

He really is pathological.

Unsure33 · 20/01/2022 08:21

@Landof

I don't believe them but also I don't see why the poor child's medical details are being shared to the world. No privacy.
Because if Cummings found out and then sold it to a paper they would be accused of covering up to suit a political agenda.

They can’t win

Chuechebache · 20/01/2022 08:24

Cant say anything leftwing here anymore,because big MN sisters are watching.anybody else feels they get curbed?

Unsure33 · 20/01/2022 08:25

@Smallkeys

I think that’s the key here. He is so poorly regarded that I and other people think he would stoop so low as to use his baby at a convenient time and possibly even lie about.

The article said the baby was on the mend and I wouldn’t have posted if that wasn’t the case no one here wished any harm to a baby because her dad is BOJO. Mind you he has a lot of children running around having him as a dad poor kids.

How do you have any right to assume what sort of lives they have ?

At least they are not ( yet ) bleating to the press months after events ( like Cummings)

BashStreetKid · 20/01/2022 08:26

I'm sort of in the "So what?" category. Hundreds of thousands of people have had covid in the past few weeks, including my baby nieces. Presumably it wasn't serious as they're not saying she was hospitalised. In effect announcing this is the equivalent of saying she had a bad cold.

MeanMrMustardSeed · 20/01/2022 08:28

Don’t kid yourselves that everyone doesn’t trust Boris / everyone wants him out / everyone hates him. There are a lot of people that still think he’s the best person for the job, that he’s delivered Brexit and The Vaccination and that he’s made a few mistakes, broken a few rules and tried to get away with it. A lot of people can identify with the last bit, as (with the exception of mumsnet), most people have bent the rules a bit and used their common sense to balance out benefit and risk.

I wouldn’t write him off yet.

Pawprintpaper · 20/01/2022 08:29

@Notonthestairs

I hope Baby Romy is thriving. I wouldn't wish covid on anyone let alone a 6 week old.

But there was no need to release her health details. It's private. So given the timing I think it's fair to conclude it's in the headlines to garner sympathy.

Agree with this. Glad she’s ok.
IpanemaPeaHen · 20/01/2022 08:30

The man is certainly vile enough to view his daughters illness as a sympathy opportunity. Just look at the DM headline.

SmallThingsEverywhere · 20/01/2022 08:31

How very convenient. Who in their right mind would trust a word this man says? He’d use anything/anyone he could to save himself, including his own kids(at least the ones he’s still in touch with).
