If there was an election tomorrow, who would you vote for?

Obviously the Tories are a complete shitshow, but Labour aren’t a lot better and I couldn’t hand on heart vote for either in good conscience right now.

So… IF a snap election was called, like in December 2019, who would you vote for? Would it make a difference to you if Boris was replaced as Tory leader? Would you even bother voting or maybe go for a totally different national or local party?

Just curious!

Sorry, just realised it’s not an AIBU. Please forgive me Blush

Definitely not Starmer/Rayner.

Definitely not Conservatives.

Bit stuck just now...

SNUG2022 · 12/01/2022 19:28

The rest are all in favour of self ID. Can't vote for that. Definitely wouldn't vote tory.

Blinkingbatshit · 12/01/2022 19:28

Lib Dem / green are starting to look like the only options. I’d vote Labour if they reviewed their stance on women.

I wonder what would happen if Lib Dem and Green formed a coalition. I feel like we need something new and progressive to come along.

Green

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 12/01/2022 19:31

I honestly don't know.

I've never voted Tory and not going to start now. I'm not going to vote Labour because of Starmer/Rayner as well. So I'm pretty much left with Lib Dems or Greens.

Blinkingbatshit · 12/01/2022 19:31

Oh god I suppose I’m politically homeless if the libs & greens are backing self id too🙈….how many of us are there?!

SNUG2022 · 12/01/2022 19:31

Lib dems had Aimee Challenor and hate women. Greens called women non-men.

Awalkintime · 12/01/2022 19:32

I can't vote for Labour as women would lose their rights even more and they started the fuck up with the NHS before Tories got their hands on it. I wouldn't vote conservatives either.

I fear if Boris goes then Gove will be in his place and then going to live across the world would be very inviting!

I'd have to vote, I never miss it but if the worst case came to it I'd maybe do ip, dip, dog, shit! ha!

Zara2008 · 12/01/2022 19:33

No idea.

I've never voted Tory.

Couldn't bear to vote for Labour at the moment due to self ID and their pro lockdown stance.

@Blinkingbatshit interested in what about the other parties' stance on women you find preferable to Labour's as it might help me - I'm feeling politically homeless.

Andtheyalllookjustthesame · 12/01/2022 19:33

I would vote Labour to get conservatives out but I wouldn't be happy about it

colourmebladd · 12/01/2022 19:34

Where/when/who said non-men??!??
OnlyFoolsnMothers · 12/01/2022 19:35

I’d vote Labour- never have before but the corruption of the tories is beyond contemptible now.

IHateCoronavirus · 12/01/2022 19:35

I am in political no-man’s land. The conservatives are a shit show, and everyone else is unwilling to protect women. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Could I vote for Robert Winston?

VelvetChairGirl · 12/01/2022 19:35

Do any of them believe in womens rights?

I sure as hell wouldnt vote for any of the mainstream parties they are all establishment misogynists.

gobbledygoook · 12/01/2022 19:36

I'd vote conservative again. Our local MP is ace, does a lot for the locals and the area. I align more strongly with their policies (regardless of leadership!) every time I've done one of the quizzes / read a manifesto.

Clackyheels · 12/01/2022 19:36

I'm not sure but fact people keep saying, 'Labour aren't a lot better' 'or what's the alternative ' infuriates me. How? How are any other party worse than the one in power right now? I honestly don't understand how anyone can use that to justify voting tory? Surely the answer is 'I don't know but I'm never voting tory again' are people not watching the same stuff as me??

FatFilledTrottyPuss · 12/01/2022 19:37

@Blinkingbatshit

Unfortunately Lib Dems and Greens are even worse than Labour on women. Aimee Challonor for example Sad I’m honestly not sure I’d be able to vote at all.
SecretKeeper1 · 12/01/2022 19:37

Fuuuuck I thought it was just me pondering and dithering, nice to know I’m not alone…

What’s the answer? A brand new shiny party?

OP posts:
ArabellaScott · 12/01/2022 19:38

What if Liz Truss was leader?

Indecisivelurcher · 12/01/2022 19:38

Green!!!

Horst · 12/01/2022 19:38

I wouldn’t vote.

DdraigGoch · 12/01/2022 19:40

Monster Raving Loony Party. The most sensible party out there.
