Just that really - I'm seeing more and more newspaper reports where women are being implicated in weird sexual crimes and the you see the picture and it's obviously a man.

Now I totally get that if someone is transitioning it's polite to call them by their preferred name etc - but AIBU to think that some of these criminals are just taking the piss?

Writers should use the correct pronouns. Referring to a criminal correctly is fairly important I'd say. #notourcrimes is a load of shite.

When writers call a man “he” then they are using the correct pronouns, even if the man wears a dress and calls himself Mandy.

It's outrageous that the police allow violent men to self identity as the wrong sex. Even a small number of men doing this will massively skew the statistics. Women, people of colour and disabled people have been fighting for rights for centuries. When men suddenly want into women's spaces they click their fingers and whoosh they get what they want in a remarkably short period of time. It's plain wrong.

This is what we've been pushing back against as radical feminists. We've been called terfs and bigots and worse. But we've been fighting against it. I just wish more women had become aware sooner. I fear it might be too late now.

I don't think most people have a clue this is happening. In fact it's so bizarre that it's hard to talk about it without sounding like a tin foil hat flat earther because you would expect institutions like the NHS, the police and the judiciary to have basic common sense and decency. But no, men click their fingers and here we are.

Having gender dysphoria doesn’t automatically make you a nice person. Even among fully medically transitioned trans people, offending rates are similar to their birth sex. And how can you tell a genuine trans person from a not genuine one? The dog-rapist might genuinely believe himself to be female just as much as India Willoughby does. Objectively, neither of them is female of course.
Trans people deserve protections but this must be in the form of third spaces, not access to women’s spaces. There is no human right to gain access to spaces and rights that were designated for someone else.

Because there is no hoop big enough to justify that. They are entitled to sex based rights. The same as any other man. They are entitled to protection from harassment. The same as any other minority.

They are not entitled to women's sex based rights, no matter how big the hoop they invent to jump through.

“Transwomen “ are not a subset of “women” women are women, whether they’re short, tall, black, Asian, lesbian or whatever.

Transwomen are men, and in no way comparable to, for ex ample, black women. To say Transwomen are a subset of women, just like black women, is a totally racist argument.

When it comes to anything like the legal system then self ID simply shouldn’t be allowed. Unless they have properly, officially transitioned then they should be named - and punished in the prison for - the gender they where born as.

Trans women = women who are trans (a subset of women)

Transwomen = males who identify as women (a subset of men)

Transwomen are male and therefore not a subset of women.

Good luck writing to your MP. If they are Labour, Libdem or Green the probably won't even acknowledge your communication. If they are Conservative, they might but it's no guarantee. Many MP's may share your concern but if TWAW is the party line they will never admits as much and many of the Conservatives at keeping their heads down to avoid any flack.

Can you imagine commiting a crime like shoplifting or missing council tax payments (which I think are the most common reasons women are in jail - poverty crimes) and ending up sharing your cell with a dog rapist / pedo WTF!
