No Religious Christmas cards

I was in one of those 'cheap card shops' and a customer asked if there were any Religious Christmas cards.
There weren't.
I am not a practising Christian/ or practising anything (!) but this really made me feel that this is wrong!

@mustlovegin

To try and lay all the examples of man's inhumanity to man at the feet of religion is a bit of a stretch

Gosh.

Did you miss the bit where it was pointed out that never happened on this thread?

A point that has been conveniently glossed over by the author of that quote too, I notice.

@ErrolTheDragon

What is it you actually want to "win" ?

Maybe acceptance that people can call the thing that happens near the end of December whatever they want, and celebrate it (or not) however they like without being criticised one way or the other by a few people who appear to think they own it?
Maybe we'd all like a bit of 'peace on Earth, goodwill to all people'?

This!

And @Ellen888 everyone knows what the phrase 'I can't win' means. Arguing semantics and posting dictionary links was what I did at 15 in essays for school. It's tiresome and it doesn't mean you're right.

You addressed that point but not the post about the decimation of Nations.

They have some cards with religious images in Oxfam.

Christmas, that's the word. We are going round in circles now

But @Ellen888 says we shouldn't say that if it's not about the Christian event for us.

Maybe the atheists should step out and let the Christians argue amongst themselves what we should be doing.

I would have bought 'birthday confetti' too but they didn't have the number I needed!
