wtf, i am in the north west, few hours back the wind picked up like nothing i have heard in years. I tis FIERCE!
Anyone else experiencing it?
It is extremely powerful and quite awe inspiring. The noise is seriously dark and creepy. Went outside and was almost taken off my feet. Trees bent double, howling, etc.
Damnyoureyes · 26/11/2021 20:42
It’s raging outside my house.
I’m NW too.
ShinyMe · 26/11/2021 20:43
I hate the bloody wind. It's scary. A few years ago it ripped off half my mum's roof and brought down loads of trees (including 3 huge 200+ year old beech trees that crushed all our walls and electricity and phone lines) - my mum said it sounded like a train ripping through the house. I've been uneasy about the wind ever since.
HolidaysAreHolidays · 26/11/2021 20:44
Wind raging around us here too 😢
ElizabethG81 · 26/11/2021 20:44
Also in the NW, I've just driven home and it was terrifying, branches flying everywhere
flossie79 · 26/11/2021 20:44
NW too here, on the coast aswell, it’s wild
Alfiemoon1 · 26/11/2021 20:45
Also in nw and it’s awful I have to pick my son up from work later not looking forward to having to go out
WeirdArchitecture · 26/11/2021 20:46
@ShinyMe
that's awful. i only have a paved yard but my sister is fearing for her fence and sheds!
Elle200 · 26/11/2021 20:46
NE Scotland here, where the wind actually blew me backwards this afternoon, and it's no better now. Forecast is for getting worse before it gets better ðŸ˜
Stay safe . .
EllaPaella · 26/11/2021 20:46
North East coast here and my garden wall just collapsed and I only have one remaining fence panel! The lid has been blown clean off our large outdoor storage container. Worrying about the trampoline staying put now! Stay safe everyone.
Bluebellbike · 26/11/2021 20:48
Also in NW. Just had to walk through Manchester City Centre.Oxford Road was a wind tunnel of a very ferocious sort. Could hardly stand up.
SisterAgatha · 26/11/2021 20:49
YANBU. It doesn’t know where it’s going, what it’s doing, it’s just so unnecessary
WeirdArchitecture · 26/11/2021 20:49
it usually gets on the news but possibly cant complete with botswana tonight.
DrMaryMalone · 26/11/2021 20:49
I'm east coast Scotland smack in the middle of the red warning area. There are trees down all over the roads, trampolines and caravans blowing away and loss of power in some of the local towns. The noise is unbelievable.
WeirdArchitecture · 26/11/2021 20:49
@SisterAgatha
perfect comment

Icantremembermyusername · 26/11/2021 20:50
In the NW too! Poor cat came out of her hiding space and was visibly fighting the wind to make it to the front door. Hall full of leaves, but at least kitty is safe and warm now.
NotMyCat · 26/11/2021 20:50
NW here too. Not my cat came and banged on the window for shelter. He's sleeping on my dressing table stool
BingoandBluey · 26/11/2021 20:50
We have angered the Gods!
Or they have turned the fan on.
NewlySingle2021 · 26/11/2021 20:50
YABU I am a windmill and it's very necessary and reasonable.
I'm also NW. Need to take the dog out later which I'm dreading as it's whipping up round here and I'm picturing us disappearing into the sky like in the Wizard of Oz.
MingeofDeath · 26/11/2021 20:51
NE coast here. The wind is raging and the noise from the sea is unbelievable. Still intact .
maggiecate · 26/11/2021 20:53
East coast, right in the red zone - it’s so noisy, worse than we got during Hurricane Bawbag and the beast from the east. Really glad the building opposite has just finished some repairs and the scaffolding has gone, I’d be worried it was coming through my windows otherwise.
dworky · 26/11/2021 20:54
Bloody selfish & anti-social, it is.
WeirdArchitecture · 26/11/2021 20:54
bawbag?
IHateCoronavirus · 26/11/2021 20:55
NW also, I’m quite sure it is the apocalypse. As such I’m eating all of the chocolate and drinking all of the wine just in case. I’d hate for it to be wasted on zombies and cockroaches.
