wtf, i am in the north west, few hours back the wind picked up like nothing i have heard in years. I tis FIERCE!

Anyone else experiencing it?

It is extremely powerful and quite awe inspiring. The noise is seriously dark and creepy. Went outside and was almost taken off my feet. Trees bent double, howling, etc.

Top part if South West here and its eerily still, almost like being in the eye of the storm. Just waiting for it to hit us, the weather forecast is predicting early hours of the morning.

I had to chase my bin around the village after work.

The wind is being very unreasonable, it needs to grow the fuck up.

DH driving home, I'm on pins. He will hopefully be here in 15 mins. Torches by beds.

If anyone is working tomorrow, what are you doing? I'm due in for 6am and I'm seriously wondering if I should go. Just took my doggo out for a wee (on his lead, was the only way he'd go out!) and it's wild! Nearly lost my head to a flying branch!

I've just been out to resecure the gate and just as I was closing it, a huge gust hit it again taking the bin with it smacking the gate - It was millimetres away from redesigning my face 😳😳😳

Talk about speaking too soon. Less than 10 min since I posted and the wind has picked up. Not gale force yet, but windy.

North Devon coast here, sea facing, north facing house, very noisy out there! Wind hurled rain so hard at my sash windows that it bounced in through various invisible gaps! Had a weird power outage earlier with partial power cuts to random lights, boiler not firing up, cooker display turning off and on, followed by everything going off and then minutes later on again! Bit weird and spooky 🌬🌬🌬🌬

This thread just reminded me to bring the bin in. Wind is fierce and I was happy for an excuse to step into it just for a moment. I love stormy weather.

NE Scotland and this is worse than Bawbag! all roads closed, trees falling all over town, power cuts and my garden is trashed.
Usual trampoline/bbq flying places and my wee bunny had to come in. Her hutch has been destroyed by this wind.
Oh and now we have snow so snow gates closing off higher roads.

Still, its bringing out the good in folks. The local pub is offering free accomodation for those unable to get home and the local care home has no power so people are taking up emergency lighting and flasks of hot water to help out.
