AIBU to not answer the door when she arrives?

I have a few unused gift sets that I advertised for free in a local page.

A woman massaged me this morning to ask if they were available? I told her yes and she arranged to collect this evening at 5.45.

6.15 comes and no sign of her so o message to ask if she’s still coming

She replied…

“Chill, I’m just putting petrol in the car”

She’s still not here.

Fucking hate time wasters, especially cheeky ones. I’m tempted not to answer the door if she eventually turns up. What is it with entitled people who think you’ll sit around all evening waiting for them to come!

I’ve done this!

I no longer advertise free stuff and just drop it off at a charity shop.

Don’t have head space for time wasters.

Sweetcandles12 · 18/11/2021 19:00

I would have messaged her back and said don't even bother coming. What a disgusting entitled twat. 😂 Imagine telling someone to chill how rude

Skeumorph · 18/11/2021 19:00

She told you to chill?!!!

Nope, don't answer the door.

Cheeky flump

Oldraver · 18/11/2021 19:00

Chill ? I'd blow her off for that

Skeumorph · 18/11/2021 19:01

'Soz hun they've gone'

'Wtf, I'm on the way etc.'

'Chill, you snooze you lose'

Grin
SunnyLeaf · 18/11/2021 19:01

I wouldn’t answer door or would message and say too late, gone out now - I am petty but think that’s fair!

Flippyflops2021 · 18/11/2021 19:01

I’d find the “Chill…. Etc” quite rude actually.

Practicebeingpatient · 18/11/2021 19:02

Text her you are busy now wait so not to bother coming over. If she turns up don't answer the door.

WorraLiberty · 18/11/2021 19:03

Jesus, that is rude! Shock

I wouldn't answer the door and when she asks why, just tell her you were too busy chillin' Wink

SockFluffInTheBath · 18/11/2021 19:03

Maybe leave them out on the doorstep to chill for her? Entitled cf.

Nearlytheretrees · 18/11/2021 19:03

I'd message saying gone out now

Lightasafly · 18/11/2021 19:04

Chill!! Indeed!

I couldn’t believe it when I read it. £25 quids worth of nice brand new gift sets. When did people get so rude!!

Don’t answer. If she texts to say she’s at the door respond with “chill, I’m on my way to the door” but don’t go Grin

5keletor · 18/11/2021 19:06

Tell her that someone else was able to collect immediately, so you told them to come since there was no sign of her.

BrightYellowDaffodil · 18/11/2021 19:07

Don’t open the door and when she messages to ask where you are, reply “Chill, I just got in the bath. Be down in an hour or so”

AnOldCynic · 18/11/2021 19:10

Are these toiletry gift sets?

There will be a local charity collecting these to give to the homeless/refugees etc at Christmas.

teddysmummyx · 18/11/2021 19:11

Not give them to her! So rude
